Chapter 7

Dani's POV

We walk in the dining pavilion and it's huge.

They're 20 stone tables with benches, and Athenian columns holding up a canopy.

I find Piper and sit next to her.

"How'd it go?" she asks

"Gods it was painful, but I guess it went well." I answer

Piper starts talking to me, and a few other girls, but I don't pay attention.

I look across the pavilion, and I see Leo sitting with his siblings.

"Hey, Piper, do I have to sit with you guys?" I ask hopefully

"Umm not really...." she says," You wanna go sit with Leeeeoooo!!" she chimes

"Pfft no!" I lie

She glares at me with her color changing eyes

"Okay okay yes!" I admit

"Leeeeooo!!!" my sisters sing beautifully

I face palm.

"I'm going now." I announce

I walk towards Leo's table

I slide down next to Leo," Sup, Valdez."

"Yo! Valentine!" he yells

"What's Barbie doing here?" a dark skinned girl asks mockingly

"Chill out, Nyssa" Leo hisses

"I'm here to see my friend" I smile falsely

"Dani, how was training?" Leo asks

"It was alright, I had a good trainer. I guess."

"Really? Who?"

"Jason" I answer

"Cool, what weapon?" he asks with his devilish grin

"Bow and arrows." I blush

I look up, and Leo's looking into my eyes

"They change color."

"Yeah they do." I say looking down suddenly cautiously of my shoes

Nyssa coughs," Barbie, your perfume is choking me."

"Sorry, that's my bodily scent, I know how to bathe. Remember."

Nyssa gets up, and clenches her fist.

I glare at her.

"Ladies ladies, there's enough Leo to go around!" Leo winks

I growl and get up, and walk back to my table.

Leo grabs my arm, " Be careful, we may not bathe, but Hepeasthus knows how to get revenge. You better pray to Zeus that were on the same team."

I roll my eyes, and walk away

Team for what?

I sit down next to Piper again.

"This is gonna be the best meal of your life." she exclaims

A tray appears in front of us, stacked with barbecue, pizza, fruit, and best of all brownies

My eyes widen, I fill my plate with 2 slices of pizza, a pile of fruit, and 3 brownies.

"Wow, first you have to give an offering to Mom." Piper says

I follow her to a huge fire pit, I copy them and scrape of the best part of my meal into the fire. Now I'm down to 2 brownies.

I sit back down at my table, and eat my food hungrily.

Piper places an empty cup in front of me," Say what you want to drink."

"Umm, Shirley Temple" I mumble

A Shirley temple pours into the cup, from thin air

"Oh my gods!" I gasp

"Umm with a cherry" a cherry drops into the drink with a plop

"And with a purple bendy straw!"

A purple bendy straw appears in my drink

"That's awesome!" I say and slurp my drink.

" You must love it here"
