Time together

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Oh my l... who is that? It's 9:00 am. I'm home alone and it couldn't be jack 'cause he's probably still asleep at Tyler's place.

*KNOCK KNOCK* "JOSEPHINE!!" I hear someone screaming.

Should I open the door? I guess I should. I get out of bed and walk to the kitchen. I search for the best knife I can find so I can protect myself and walk to the door. I hesitate for a moment. You know what, I'm a grown woman. I can do this! I slowly open the door....

"BOOH IT'S ME!!!" Caleb screams. "AAAAH!! Jeezzz.. my goodness. Caleb you scared the hell out of me. What are you doing THIS early at my apartment!?" I say. "It's 9 am. I thought we could get some breakfast before we hit the road! And it wasn't my intention to scare you." "Wait... what? Hit the road? What are we going to do?" I ask Caleb curious. "Yeah... it's a secret. You'll like it!" He says. "Ihm okay. But I'll have to get ready first! And I better put this knife back in the kitchen." "Okay I'll just watch some tv and yeah that sounds as a good idea!" Caleb says.

*35 minutes later I'm ready to go. *

"Ugh finally.... you're ready!" Caleb says. "Yeah! Where are we going to get breakfast?" I ask. "I don't know. Lets try out this diner around the corner. They say it has good coffee."

As we walk we talk about all kinds of stuff. We talk about the party, how awkward it was, we talk about school. And just life in general. It's great to have my brother around like this.

*After a few minutes we arrive at the diner.*

"So here it is!" He says. "Oh my. It looks great!" We go in and the coffee scent hits me like a truck. It smells delicious. Just what I need after a long night of partying. We search a table and find ourselves sitting next to a window with a nice view. "Hi, what can I get you?" "I want an omelette with bacon." Caleb says. "And I want the blueberry pancakes. Ooh and we would both like a big cup of coffee please." I say politely. "Okay. Coming right up!" The waitress says smiling.

"So what's the big event you have planned for today?" I ask curious while the waitress brings us what we ordered. "I'm not telling you. It's a surprise!" Caleb says. "Oh come on! This is ridiculous. We both know you can't keep the surprise a secret and I don't like surprises." I say teasingly. "Haha, well you'll like it this time. And I'll be able to keep it a secret." He says smiling.

After our breakfast we walk back to the car. It's a nice day. It's warm but you can feel the wind just enough. The sky is open and the birds sing.

"So, we just have to drive for 1,5 hours before we arrive at the surprise." He says. "Okay, I just have to say, I love it already. I mean we haven't been able to do things together since you left for college!" I say. "Uhu that's true." He says. Not the answer I expected but who cares.

*1,5 hours later*

"Here it is!" Caleb says enthusiastic. I step out of the car and see this beautiful open landscape. There are a lot of trees but I wouldn't call it a forest. You see all kinds of flowers. Yellow ones, purple, pink, orange, red an white flowers. It's beautiful! "I'll leave you alone now. I thought you might want to be alone for a sec and to get out of there. I know how hard the first few months can be, so I thought I would bring you to a place where you can just be yourself." He says. " I love it Caleb. You're the best big brother I could ever ask for!" I say. "Haha, I know. Now go ahead and enjoy the nature." Caleb says laughing. Hahah it sounds like I'm a hipster or something, but I'm not. I just love nature. It's full of beautiful things.

As I'm walking I think of everybody I know. My mom and dad, my brothers, Ian and Christopher, Hannah, Stacy and Sarah. And not to forget Mr. Parker and Mrs. Knight Parker. I feel bad for not contacting Mr. Parker. I should text him... or email him in this case.

*after about what seemed like half an hour I walk back to the car.*

"For a second I thought you were lost." Caleb says teasingly because I was gone longer than expected. "It was amazing Caleb! I mean it." I say smiling. "I knew you would love it!" He says. "While I was walking I thought of mr Parker. I think I'll send him an email." I say. "Doesn't he have a phone?" Caleb asks. "Yeah he does. He just doesn't know how to use it." I say. "Hahaha that makes sense, you know.. old people." He says. "So what do you have in mind for the rest of the day?" I ask Caleb curiously. "Oh my god, you still don't get it? It's a surprise!" Caleb says laughing.

We drive around and visit some random villages. I can't say it enough, it's so amazing to spent some time with Caleb. I missed him a lot back home.

The radio is off and we are both quiet. I can't stop thinking about what happened at the party with Christopher. I also can't stop thinking about Mr. Parker. What would happen with both of them?

Hey guys, I'm sorry that I haven't posted in so long! I hope to find some time to write upcoming week. It's been busy with preparing for the midterm finals tho! I'm going to Florida this week so that's why I think I can upload next week!!!
