WOLFSBANE

Nagising ako with a bad mood. I dreamed about something weird. A white flower and serpents. I also saw someone whose back was turned against me. I couldn't see his face so palaisipan parin sa akin kung lalaki ba siya o babae. Oh, I forgot. It wasn't a dream. It's a nightmare. Turns out, its lower half was a serpent and its hair had white snakes all over. When it looked at me, hindi ko naigalaw ang aking mga braso at binti. I stared at its eyes and saw its face hidden by a golden mask. I felt that I was losing the ability to breathe as I stared at the Gorgon's eyes for a longer period of time. Then, that's when the white flowers started to appear and form a crown around its head.

And that's how my nightmare abruptly ended. Thank God, nabuhay pa ako.

I looked at the clock. 7 AM. Nag-unat muna ako bago maligo. After kong magsuot ng damit na pang-alis, bumaba na ako sa lower floor.

Nanibago ako na walang tao sa café except for my sister and cousins. Especially, Saturdays are busy days.

Nakahanda na sa mesa ang aming agahan. Kahit walang customer, nakabukas ang aming aircon. I took my morning tea. Good thing that Bella also knows how to brew tea. At least a little.

Napatingin ako sa iniinom ni Ivy. Coffee? Looks like Bella finally made her drink one.

Castor read the newspaper while he sipped his. Parang ako lang ata ang nagcha-tsaa, ah?

Bella arrived holding a plate with eggs. And bacon. We usually have this breakfast on Saturdays. TGISt.

"Guys, kain na. Male-late tayo sa pag-check in natin sa resort."

Resort? Come to think of it, sir Landro arranged a free stay at the resort. Ano kaya ang trip niya?

I shrugged the idea about what he ate yesterday for breakfast and ate mine. Mmm... sister's cooking is the best.

Looks like all of them were finished eating at ako nalang ang hinihintay.

"Finished eating, already?"

I tried opening a conversation.

"Hindi ba obvious?"

Bella drank her coffee. Thank you very much for destroying my idea of a perfect morning.

"Guys, I had a weird dream."

Ivy spoke out of the blue.

"Was it about a white-haired gorgon?"

I tried asking a nonsense question. There's no way that we could have the same-

"Yes."

Napatingin sina Castor at Bella kay Ivy.

"You had the same dream too? Did it also have a golden mask?"

My sister looked surprised.

"Yeah."

"Same here."

Castor said while he took another sip.

What's with this mysterious gorgon with white snakes and a golden mask?

I hope we'll find answers in the resort.

We arrived at the gates of the resort. With its name Paradiso written all over it. Castor caught up with us after he checked if the doors were locked.

Since it's summer, we wore light clothing.

Looks like sir Landro chose a good one. 5-star, I might judge.
