Finding Dove: Ch. 10

...when she came towards me, a wave crashed over her.

"Dove!" I yelled in fear.

I wasn't going to let Dove disappear. She is my everything, my life, my love. I wasn't. Letting her. Go.

I decided to take a chance and jump in. The roaring waves were crashing up on me as I was swimming forward, hopefully towards Dove.

Then, I thought of the only thing. I turned on my phone flashlight and went under the water.

Luckily, Dove was right in front of me. She was struggling so much. I grabbed her as quickly as I could and went out of the water.

Dove screamed. Really. Loud.

"Let me down!!!"

She then looked over at me. "Sof! It's you!"

She wrapped her arms around me tight and didn't let go as I carried her back to the shore.

When we got back, I lied her on our blanket and tried to dry her off. Dove was shuddering and cold as ice.

"Goodness, Dove, I was so scared. Are you okay?"

Dove, with her teeth chattering, managed to spit out something.

"Y-yeah. Because you s-saved me. Thanks Sofia."

I nodded and pulled her in for a hug.

"Well, I wasn't going to let you be alone in the ocean. I wasn't about to lose you."

Dove looked sad.

"That's all I was thinking about when I was in there, 'What about Sofia? What about Sof? Am I gonna die?'. And I'm glad I didn't and I'm happy you're here."

"Well, do you think I was ever gonna leave you? Of course not, I mean what kind of person would? Out of 7 billiom people in the world I'm fucking lucky to have found you and there isn't a chance I would let you go."

Dove had a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Oh my God, Sof, stop it. You're making me cry, I love you."

I laughed a bit and pulled Dove close.

"I love you too. Let's get home"

Done nodded energetically as she trudged to the car. I gathered everything and watched her sit in the driver's seat. I followed behind and sat next to her.

"Well, besides all that, thanks for the amazing day." I said sweetly.

Dove looked over as she was driving with a smile.

"Any time."
