KD'S POV
I woke up as per usual. I looked over and saw my love y/n. I smiled as i felt my cheeks heat up. She was all mine, and she was happy. Or atlest i hope so.
She tossed and turned in her sleep and she started to mumble. "M-mugs?..." I heard the words slip from her mouth as i felt my blood go cold. I could see the shiny tears slideing gently out of her eyes. She misses them...her family...we took from her. I let my greed get to me. Just wanting so desperately for her to love me. I knew what i had to do. I got dressed and stepped into the darkness of the empty casino. Walking down the twisting long hallways to the double doors leading to his office. The devils office. I opened the doors fear steadly growing. He wasnt here his office vacant i wandered over to his desk. I could hear my heart pounding in my head Thud Thud. I pulled open the drawer to the soul contracts. I found cuphead and mugmans contracts. I walked over to devils fire and held them out ready to drop them. Thud Thud. I was panicking was i ready to lose my job. Remember for her happiness...i went to drop them till i felt a pair or large furry black hands grip my scrawny arms. I turned around devil was standing there his eyes directly looking into mine. "So you where gonna free them? Where you going to B E T R A Y me? You know the punishment King." He growls. I quickly dropped the contracts into the fire. "This is for y/n" i look at him as i feel him push me i land into the fire. The searing pain went through my body. I screamed i was terrified. Im gonna die. But as the flames burnt my body i had one last thought y/n will be free.

As the morning sunlight lit up his room. I opened my eyes wipeing the crust out i looked around. "KD?" I sighed and just assumend he was working early. I wander out into the casino waveing to the patrons and then i stepped outside for some air thats when i noticed a new decration...His...head...i ran over and picked it up it was KD's head. It had burn marks all over it. I held it close "im dreaming i gotta be dreaming...he cant be dead no! No no!" I tear up my body shakey as i hold the head. "Y/N" i heard two voices i hadnt heard since i got here i spun around seeing mugman and cuphead. "How...h-how" i trembled and mugs walked over and hugged me. "He...got our contracts...he set us free but devil...he pushed him into the fire...he is gone..." I couldnt belive the words i was hearing. He was dead...he sacrificed himself for them...why.
Cuphead spoke next "...he did this for you y/n...he knew how much you missed your family...he wanted you to be happy" i froze...he wanted me to be happy so then...he sacrificed himself for my happiness.
I couldnt help it...i accepted this i was gonna make sure his death wasnt in vain. I grab his head up off the ground. "Mugs. Cups cmon lets go home" they ran off ahead of me and i followed behind. When we got to the house i went out back and dug a hole. I burried the dead and put a wood piece that i soon after carved "r.i.p KD my love" into it. I sat there for hours i let the tears slip down and i even brought flowers over to the grave. When i got up i smiled finnally. You did this so i could be happy. Im going to be happy for you. " KD...i know you can hear me anymore...down under below but...i love you king dice...and soon devil wont harm anyone anymore" i walk inside

There was a soft whisper
"I love you too y/n ill be back soon my dear"
