Iris' P.O.V:
I had a normal day at work, and Nathan wasn't in which was a relief. He probably got sacked like I predicted. I'm no longer tired from our vacation and can begin to look forward to the particle accelerator switch on tonight. Barry is working till 5 so I take advantage of this time to use the shower first.
I put on jeans, and a star labs sweater, ready to twin with Barry and slip on my sneakers.

I walk to CCPD and see Singh as Barry still has 10 minutes until he can finish.

"Captain?" I ask, pulling him aside.
I become aware I'm not dressed very formal but he doesn't seem to care.
"Yeah, Iris I don't really have time right now? I've looked at your application and so far it's looking good but you're still gonna have to be assessed in particular skills as well but I'll talk to you about that at a different time okay?" He says.
At least it's not a no; and he said that my application looks good so I guess that gives me more hope and leads me to believe he's definitely considering it.
"Okay, thank you sir." I say.
He laughs.
"Iris I appreciate the formality and respect you have here but please, you can just call me Singh or Captain, I've known you too long to say otherwise." He says.
"Right, yeah of course."
I take it that means he doesn't hate me. "Have fun at your accelerator thing," he says.
I laugh assuming what Barry's been like. He's the biggest science geek and Dr Wells fan going.
"He's been going on about it all day hasn't he?"
"ALL day! Get him out of here ASAP he's starting to do my head in," he jokes.
"Sure thing," I say, running up the stairs to the floor of his lab.

I go in and his eyes are locked on his computer screen, reading some page about the science behind it all.
"Hey," I say, distracting him from it for a second and kissing him.
"Hey, have you seen this?! People are actually protesting against this and they DON'T want it to happen! What the hell is wrong with them?" He says in misbelief.
"What? Why? Surely there's a reason," I say, scanning the screen.
"Well it says here: 'in worst case scenario, the collision will be disrupted, possibly triggering an explosion in the pipe line of the building which would cause dangerous amounts of gamma radiation containing the element of dark matter to spread throughout the city which could lead to an increase of cell mutations in people's bodies.'" He reads aloud.
"Well, I mean that kinda is a bit if a big deal," I say.
"Yeah but this is Dr Wells were talking about he won't mess up, he's a smart man." He says.
"Yeah, it'll be fine." I say.
He looks up at me and smiles.
"I love the sweater." He says.
"Aw thanks, you got yours?"
"Yep!" He says, pulling it out of a bag.
"Awesome. Were gonna look like such nerds." I laugh.
"Nerds are cool," he says, putting on his matching sweater. He takes my hand, "let's do this!" He leads us out of CCPD and we walk there.

There are protestors everywhere.
"What's their deal? Do they not know Harrison or something," I laugh.
"Meh. Probably just didn't do too well in school and are jealous." He says.
We stand fairly close to the building and everyone starts cheering as he comes on stage standing at his podium. I look to Barry and he's smiling ear to ear. And cheering loudly. I've not seen him smile that much since the other night when we gave ourselves to each other.

"Good evening, ladies gentlemen and children..." Dr Wells begins. Barry grips my hand tighter in excitement. I mean I think it's cool but I'm hardly this buzzing for it.

Harrison goes on to speak more about the science which I find fairly boring but I pretend to be interested in it for Barry's sake. He speaks of what good it will do for the city etc and then within 45 minutes he's done with his speech and goes inside.
It's expected to go on in 15 minutes and everyone is getting super excited for it. Barry and I go grab a hotdog from a stand and sit down outside. I wipe some ketchup from the side of his mouth and we laugh.
He checks his watch and gets all excited again. "5 minutes!" He says.
"You're so adorkable," I scoff.
He leans in and kisses me.
"What was that for?" I ask.
"Putting up with me being this way," he laughs.
"Aw babe, I love you this way don't diss it."
