I was sitting in class just waiting to see Charlie. I couldn't get him off my mind. I don't know why. I saw him walk in and he raised his eyebrows. The teacher wasn't in the class yet.

"You are here early" he said and I nodded

"So prom is when?" I asked and Charlie looked super confused.

"It's in two weeks....why?" He asked

"I need a dress" I said

"Are you going?" I asked him and he laughed

"Have you seen me..." he said

"Sam, I get that your brother told you stuff and majority of it's true" he said

"I live in my car....I don't get a lot of showers and I don't eat and I use to have to sell drugs. I don't anymore but Sam I don't need another person to judge me" he said

"I'm not judging you, Charlie" I said

"Yeah heard that before" he said

"I find you to be a really cool person and I want to know more about you and I don't know" I said laughing and he just look at me

"Take me to prom? Or I'll take you" I said and he just looked at me

"What are you, Sam? On what planet would you want me to take you to prom?" He asked and I just smiled

"I want to go with you" I said

"Give me time to process this" he said shocked. Then the bell rang and Spencer came in with friends and he looked at me with a smile.

"Sam" Spencer said and Charlie tensed up.

"I don't really want to talk to you" I said

"I was thinking" he started to say

"Okay class sit down" I heard the teacher say and Spencer turned around and groaned.

"I'll tell you later" he said and he walked back to his seat

"Maybe you should go to prom with Spencer" Charlie said

"I just want to live on the edge for once.....and I want you to join me" I said

"Do you want to hang out with me today?" I asked and he rolled his eyes

"You ask way too much" he said obviously pissed. I just turned to look at the teacher.

-END OF CLASS-

I walked out of class and I walked fast. I felt like just going home.

"Sam" I heard Charlie say and I turned around to look at him.

"Samantha" I heard Shawn's voice. I turned around to see Shawn walking over to me. The girls were staring him up and down. Charlie was right next to me and I could tell Charlie was confused.

"Well baby. Aren't you going to welcome your new student" Shawn said walking right up to me.

"Who is this? One of your friends?" Shawn said putting his arm around me. Charlie looked at me and I pushed Shawn's arm off of me.

"This is Charlie" I said

"Charlie, this is Shawn......my ex" I said and Shawn glared at me.

"Sam, really? I moved here for you" he said

"I have to go to class and I'll see you later. Just text me your address" Shawn said walking away.

"He's my ex" I said and Charlie nodded his head.

"What?" I asked

"But you broke up with him because you moved" he said and I nodded

"I should have known that someone like you-" he started to say and I walked over to him and kissed him. He kissed me back and pulled me closer to him.

"You should get to class" I heard Spencer say. I pulled back and Charlie just rolled his eyes.

"Charlie fucking Puth. Don't roll your eyes at me. You aren't even attractive" Spencer said

"Have you seen Sam? This girl is gorgeous. Sam, look at me and then him. He's smelly and dirty" Spencer said

"Actually he's better-" I started to say but got cut off.

"Students get to class now" a teacher said and I looked and nodded. I left the hall with the two guys just standing there.

LATER THAT NIGHT

"So you asked my mom if you could move here?" I asked sitting on my bed with Shawn laying in my bed.

"And now you are living with me?" I asked laughing

"Is that a problem?" He asked me climbing on top of me.

"Yeah, it is because you are going to get in my way" I said and kicked him off of me.

"I'm going to prom with Charlie" I said and he stopped laughing and sat up straight.

"The smelly kid?" He asked me and I rolled my eyes.

"He has nothing to offer, baby" Shawn said and I groaned

"Can you just stop" I said

"He's nice" I said. Shawn looked in my eyes and he smiled. He kissed my lips and I kissed back.

"Ewwww" I heard Lucas say

"What do you want?" I asked groaning

"Spencer and I were going out for food. We wanted to bring you with" he said

"I'll come with" Shawn said

"Okay cool! Let's go" Lucas said. He pulled me up and grabbed me a coat.

CHARLIE'S POV

I was sitting in my car covered in blankets. I want to go to prom with Sam. But I can't afford anything. I want to look good and smell good.

I started my car and drove to McDonald's. I parked and groomed myself down. I walked in and took a deep breath.

"Is your manager here?" I asked

"May I speak-" I said

"Yeah, how may I help you" I turned to see this blonde girl. She wasn't super skinny but she wasn't fat.

"I was wondering if I could apply for a job?" I asked

"Do you want to do an interview right now?" She asked and I nodded and she laughed.

"Let's go to the back then" she said with a smile. I followed her into the back shaking that I wouldn't get the job that I needed to have a life.
