Kim Seokjin
9:30 pm                                                                                                                                                                      Gwangjin District, Seoul

The only sound that could be heard were seokjin's footsteps

Step
             By step
                               By step

The walls were covered with vast expanses of paintings. Scenes from days long gone ,
Of dying men and fallen angels

Endless chaos , hidden beauty

Seokjin was  alone , as he always was. Alone, as he walked out of the museum that contained nothing but lifeless things. Alone, as he walked along the streets, inhaling the night air. Alone, that is until he saw someone , a drunk, sitting on a bench watching the stars.

Seokjin did not know this man, but it had been so long since he had company that something inside him was craving it.

He walked over and sat next to the stranger.

"They're beautiful aren't they?" The man suddenly spoke, breaking the heavy cloud of silence that hung between the two strangers.

Seokjin just inclined his head forward then tilted it back to take in the sight of twinkling lights in the ocean called a sky.

He stood, brushing of his coat and turned to see the man , who still stared, in a drunken daze , at the stars in wonder. For a fleeting moment Seokjin wondered what brought this man here but that moment passed and his mind fell back into a brooding silence.

As Seokjin turned his back on this stranger, and as he moved his feet, one at a time, something inside him craved that feeling , of not being lonely , for once in this inhumane life he was living. Although the man was a complete stranger, being in the company of another gave him a state of peace.

He remembered when he had the company of not just one but many. But their memories had shattered like pieces of broken glass. His mind had fallen into a state of utter chaos, and there was no one there to retrieve it from the depths of the dark parts of his mind.

But as Seokjin turned, his eyes did not meet the seemingly wayward drunk's figure but instead an empty seat and a sky full of stars

And as he stood there that night , he realised that once again he was alone,

As he always was.
