Chapter 2

"Are you not going to push me off?..." Katriona said timidly, loosening the grip of her tiny hands from my kimono.

"I see no problem of you needing something to embrace, because of now I am simply a vessel at your command." Katriona moved her head upwards to face my gaze, as she was about to speak.

However my lifted hand had interrupted her, causing her to pause.

'Warning the database radar has sense three individuals near by, watching you and the girl, It would be best to move along for now. This will allow no one to be harmed until later events. '

"Lady Katriona, i believe it is time to depart and return home." I said, lifting the girl from my chest. The hint of confusion was embedded in her eyes as i continued to slowly make her stand on her own two feet.

"Is something wrong?" Katriona said concernedly,as her body began to tremble in fear as the sudden actions I did.

However i merely shook my head lessening her worry by simply pointing upwards,towards the sky. "It is almost late, and it is not safe for a lady of your stranded."

We were both now walking down the path, slowly reaching the Oralee estate manor that was a 30 minutes walking distance. And i had noticed for a while that I was getting, sneak peak glares by the young girl, Katriona.

As soon as she would look at me, her innocent gaze slowly made its way to see my open hand.

'Researching suspension actions of the living organism, search failed. More knowledge of the species, know as humans must be obtained to unlock further details and information.

"... How unfortunate" I said with a unmoved nor a disappointed tone. Instead I turn my head to face the walking girl beside me.

"What are those weird actions you are doing, Lady Katriona? You take glances at me and then quickly shift your gaze away from me so I wouldn't catch on, is this perhaps what orga- your people call an emotion? Or is there something you would like to ask?" I said, making Katriona stutter in response.

"N-n-no I do-don't w-w-want anything!" she said panicking, while pausing in her tracks and then fidgeting with her hands .

'A lie has been detected' the system called out immediately on the obvious fake answer the girl had said.

"I see what you said just now was a lie, i guess that's to be expected after all we have just met. So of course we wouldn't have any trust builded up."

"I-i wanted to hold your hand..." Katriona mumbled with her face slightly flushed in a reddish color, followed by a glistening substance leaking out from her eyes.

"it's not that I don't trust you... " she sniffed.

"I j-just don't know what to do in this situation. I'm really happy but so nervous that I have someone to finally talk to. Usually my family or the staff, stare at me as if I'm a monstrosity." At this moment her tears were just dripping down her small lush face.

"So I'm just scared you would think differently when you hear about me from everyone el-."

"Impossible" Katriona only flinched before slowly deciding to look at me in shock.

"W-"

'Results were handed to you'

"My results say that it is 100% impossible, after all this unit don't have any emotions attached so do not worry." saying in a monotone voice.

"And just so the exchange is even, that is also a reason I am here. To simply find the reason of emotions and learn them, so I chose you as my master to teach me the way. "

My feet then left the dirt path into the patch of dark green grass under the vibrant night sky. Crouching down, I plucked the luminous blue flower from the ground, gently cupping it in my hands before slowly returning to the girl on the path.

'System activating the skill know as Absorb. Item: Nightingale's flower will now be turn into a low level antidote.'

The flower in my hands slowly absorb into my palms, before slowly emerging into a slight glowing blue liquid, trapped in my cupped pale white hands.

"Will you accept this unit? If so drink this and heal your poison state. However it is only a weak one so you will go through stomach pains until morning has arrived."

Katriona didn't say anything. But it was to be expected from a young child. what was she meant to say in this? with her final sniffs and wiping away her tears, she took my cupped hands and drank the antidote.

When all was gone Katriona look at me showing a weak smile.

"I'll try my best to help you, and you stay by my side ok" Katriona said sweetly but only managed to whispered it.

"Of course Lady Katriona this unit will stay loyal to you until the end." I said, reaching out my hand towards her.

"Now let's go home." After saying that, the young lady simply grabbed my hand as we walked back on the path towards the Oralee manor.
