Mistakes Were Made

"Kids! We're back. And the blond brought guests, so get your asses out here and say hello!"

Ruby opened her eyes, quickly realizing that she was laying on the couch, Weiss sprawled across her. "Umm... Give me a minute, I need to deal with something."

The group has gotten back to the house pretty late, many of an falling asleep in their clothes or, in Ruby's case, right on any piece of furniture. She checked her watch to see the time.

"Why are you guys coming home so late? I thought you'd be coming back last night." The girl in red remarked. "Did dad get sidetracked at a giant elephant statue or a yarn ball or something?"

"Kinda." A woman in black said as she came into view.

Ruby's eyes widened as a smile came to her face. "Blake?! Is that really you?" The girl tried to stand before she realized that Weiss was still on top of her. "Umm... Well I'd give you a hug if I could."

Blake chucked. "I get it. So, who's the cutie you've got there?"

The brunette laughed nervously. "Yeah, well, this is Weiss... She's a friend... You know, we hang out, and go to dinner, and drink sometimes, and she went to my cafe awhile back. That's how I met her, because she ran away, but left her bag an~"

"Ruby." Weiss said, gently placing her pointer finger over the crimson girl's lips. "You're rambling. I'm sleeping."

"That's adorable." Blake said with a smirk.

Jaune came down the stairs, yawning in his onesie. "What's going on down here? You guys can't already be awake."

"Woah, what's with the outfit, buddy?" A blond guy in a white button up asked, chuckling under his breath.

Jaune froze, then sighed deeply. "Of course... Of course I need to deal with these judgmental people everywhere I go."

"Hey, you'll need to deal with it if you ever wanna be Mayor Arc." Yang commented as she came out of the kitchen with a plate of pancakes. "Wait... Neptune?"

Ruby slowly lifted Weiss off of herself, standing and turning around to see Neptune standing there, eyes widened and looking like he was ready to freak out.

"I should have put together that I can't go anywhere without work getting involved..."

After a brief explanation of who everyone was and how they all know each other, Qrow took a deep breath.

"Ok, so let me get this straight... Ruby was friends with Blake, Blake is the best friend of Sun, Sun is the boyfriend of Neptune, who works for Weiss and is also friends with Yang. Do I got that about right?"

"I mean, yeah, that's without getting Roman, Jaune, or Pyrrha involved." Ruby said, leaning back in her seat.

Qrow shook his head slowly. "I'm getting too old for this shit..."

"Wow... I thought it was a crazy coincidence that we met with Blake, but I didn't realize how crazy it was." Tai laughed.

"So this is your boy toy, Neptune?" Yang asked, a massive smirk on her face. "You got a thing for blonds or something?"

"Just shut up... Please..." The bluenette sighed.

Yang chuckled, then looked at Blake out of the corner of her eye. "Hey, Rubes? Why didn't you tell me you had such a hot friend?" She whispered, leaning over to Ruby.

"Neo is going to kill you if you keep talking like that." The girl in red responded.

The sound of footsteps came down the stairs and Blake started glaring in their direction.

"Roman." She said is a hostile tone.

"Hey there, kitten. Miss me? Because I sure didn't miss you." He replied, wearing his full outfit, including hat and coat.

"Ok! Let's not get upset today, please. This is the last day we're all here, and I for one don't want to waste it." Ruby quickly said, jumping between the two. "Let's have fun!"

"I think we should play pin the tail on the kitty cat." Roman commented.

Blake scoffed. "How about cops and robbers? I think I know who the criminal would be."

Torchwick rolled his eyes, gesturing to Blake. "Can you believe this chick, Yang? She's ridiculous."

"Umm..." Yang looked from one to the other, not quite sure what to say. "Well, I wouldn't say that either of you are necessarily in the wrong here."

"Of course I'm not in the wrong! I was actually invited here." Roman reminded.

Blake smirk. "I was actually invited. Tai invited me." She added with a gentle smile to the blond man.

"Let's play Twister!" Nora suddenly said.

Everyone was silent in shock for a few seconds before anyone spoke, the first being Ruby.

"When did you even wake up?"

"About three minutes ago."

"Don't you dare move." Blake hissed, bale balancing on the tips of her fingers and toes, hanging over Yang, Ren, and Neptune.

"I still don't see the point of this." Weiss muttered. She was woken up and given a quick explanation of everything while the Twister mat was pulled out, still leaving her lost as to what was happening.

"Welllll..." Ruby started, flicking the spinner. "We're spending time together before anyone leaves, and this was what Nora wanted to do."

Yang looked over at where the pink cover cashier was sitting. "She's eating pancakes and looks to have no interest in Twister."

"I can't hold myself up anymore..." Neptune said, obviously strained. "I am not flexible enough for this..."

Blake whiped her head around. "Don't you dare!"

The blue haired man fell, unbalancing Blake enough to make her collapse right onto Yang. Ren didn't even stumble, just watching from his awkward, yet graceful stance.

Yang looked down at the girl in black that landed on her, slightly smirking. "If you wanted to lay on top of me, you should've just said so."

Neo threw her arms in the air. I'm done! I quit!

Blake pushed herself up into a sitting position, stopping for a moment with a hand on Yang's stomach. "Wow..."

The blonde raised a brow in confusion. "What?"

"Nothing! Don't worry about it." Blake quickly said, standing up and walking over Ruby. "You never told me your sister was... I don't know, muscular." She whispered.

"I guess I never thought it was an important fact to share." Ruby said with a shrug. "Why, are you into that?"

"You've seen my book collection, Ruby. You've seen my books."
