Alex kept his secret from his family, not bothering to skip school from feeling ill anymore because he didn't want them to suspect anything. He went to school, threw up almost every 3 hours and that was it. Not a big deal.
Except it was.
It was a huge deal.
At the end of the day, Jack had found Alex by his locker.
"Have you decided what you're gonna do..?" He mumbled it so quietly that Alex barely heard him.
"I think i'll just have an abortion.." Alex trailed off, too upset to think about what he had to do right now.
"Hey, hey," Jack brought Alex in for a hug, holding him tight. "It's okay. You don't have to decide right away. Are you still getting sick?"
The shorter boy nodded, his hands balled up in Jack's shirt.
"And this is still our secret?"
Another nod.
"Whatever you wanna do, baby, i'll support you. I promise." Jack kissed the top of Alex's head.
Alex swore that he was melting in Jack's arms; he felt like everything was okay if Jack was around.
Alex just barely whispered "I love you", so quiet Jack didn't hear it. It would have been their first "I love you".

A week later, Jack snuck Alex out and brought him to a local Planned Parenthood, staying with him the entire time as he was beyond nervous.
"I'm scared, Jack." He was on the verge of tears, waiting on the consultant to enter the room and give him a proper diagnosis.
"Don't be," Jack squeezed his hand. "they'll probably just give you a pill and it'll be done. Or... I don't know. You're not technically supposed to be pregnant, so..."
Alex didn't have time to cry, because as soon as Jack finished his sentence, a woman walked in.
"Hi! I'm Doctor Matthews, and you're Alex, I presume?" She stuck her hand out, shaking Alex's.
"Y-yes," Alex stuttered. "This is my boyfriend, Jack."
Jack shook her hand with a "Hi, how're you?" and that was that.
"So you didn't specify on the sheet why you were here, only saying that you wanted to know more about proper procedures in bed..? About how to be safe as a gay male?" She read off the clipboard.
"Y-yeah, kinda... I.. Uh.. N-not exactly, actually.." Alex was beyond red in the face and he really wished he could be anywhere but there, but here he was.
"C-can you tell her?" Alex mumbled to Jack.
The older man nodded, "Well.. A few weeks ago, we got kinda wasted and had sex. A few days after that, Alex got really sick and decided to take a pregnancy test, and it came out positive."
"Is.. Is this a joke?" Dr. Matthews looked appalled. "That isn't possible."
"Please, you have to believe me," Alex was gripping onto Jack's hand for dear life, now. "At least do a scan on me, please. I need help."
After a moment of deliberation, Dr. Matthews led the two to the ultrasound room, instructing Alex to lay on the bed and relax as the cold gel hit his stomach.
Sure enough, something appeared on screen.
"This is.. This is unusual," She muttered.
"I told you," Alex sounded exhausted. "I need an abortion, or something akin to it. Just.. Get it out of me."
And then, Dr. Matthews left the room.

A few moments later she returned with a few other doctors, and apparently they had discussed things.
"We can organize an abortion," She said. "But it will have to be similar to a c-section. You'll have to come in for a proper surgery. Is that alright?"
Alex nodded.
"When would you be available Mr. Gaskarth?"
Seeing as it was only Friday and they had Monday off, Alex could take two recovery days.
"Tomorrow."
