Aria sat in her assigned seating, waiting for the lecture to begin. For once, she was early, and it felt weird being the only one there. The sun was shining through the window but did nothing to get rid of the chill in the air. It was so close to Christmas, and she couldn't wait for the holidays.
Doodles of hearts appeared at the top of her notebook, and as she drew she hummed the song that Astro had performed for her birthday. Since that day, she couldn't get the tune out of her head.
"What are you so happy about?" Her friend Hei-Ran sat down next to her and nudged her arm. "Is it a boy?"
"Of... Of course not." Aria nervously laughed. How'd she know?
"Gurl, you're blushing!" Hei pointed out. "What's his name?" She leaned closer to her friend, waiting for the juicy details.
"Aria's got a boyfriend?" Their other friend, Myung, joined them.
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Oo, so he's someone you like?" Hei continued her questioning.
"Yes... I don't know." Aria fumbled with her words. "To be honest, I'm unsure. He's so popular and I'm just... Me."
"What are you saying? You're pretty popular too." Myung couldn't believe what her friend was saying.
"Yeah, there's plenty of guys who would want to go out with you."
"Hmm, I guess. MJ isn't like them guys, though."
"Oooo MJ." Her friends teased her.
They carried on asking her questions until the lecturer arrived to start class. And then continued where they left off when it was time for lunch.
"Where are you going, Ari?" Myung asked, after noticing the shorter girl was heading for the gates. "We have little time till our next class."
"I'm just going somewhere..." She replied vaguely.
Actually, she was planning on bringing lunch to the guys. She hadn't seen MJ for weeks, because of him having a busy schedule, but after talking to her friends she missed him more than ever. So, she planned to surprise him with his favourite food.
"Are you going to see lover boy?"
"Maybe." Aria shot her friend a small smile and giggled when her friend hooked arms with her. Hei did the same with her other arm.
"Take us with you," pleaded Myung. "We want to see this guy for ourselves and see if he's the right guy for our Ari."
"Please, Ariiiiiii."
"All right, all right." Aria gave in. "Just hurry, the break will be over soon."
"We got it."
