Fourtris meet in abnegation

Tris POV

I come home from school as usual but today I feel the adrenaline running through my veins. Our parents come to pick us up and smile at us, no physical contact as that would be selfish. No guessing which faction I'm born into... abnegation of course. I glance at Caleb when my parents aren't looking and give a small nervous nod as if to ask an unspoken question. He smiles weakly back at me and I know that means he will cover for me but I know how much Caleb hates lying to our parents. I dart quickly down the next ally way. I know is well s even though it's dark, I don't feel scared, I feel awake, at last. I start up a run, I've always been naturally fast. When I get there I smile. I walk up the the deserted building I first discovered 6 months ago when I was upset and ran away. I know selfish of me, right? I begin to climb and feel the sudden surge of power through me. I grip on tight knowing I could fall at any moment. The danger gives me a thrill.

Tobias POV

I sit at my window ledge with a book on my lap, I finished my work from today. I don't go to school because my father tells me so, there's nothing I can do. I am weak, powerless and haunted with beatings in my mind. I look at everyone as usual, I can imagine I'm there smiling with other people my age and helping out others, like the rest of my faction. I stare at the grey mass that follows with their heads down, losing themselves. When suddenly I see something so abnormal and out of place. A small skinny girl with blond hair flying behind her back slips away down a dark ally. No one notices apart from what I think is her brother. I am so intrigued by her that without thinking about the consequences I slip out of my house and follow her. She starts to jog, a bounce in her step and her arms move swiftly like she had been built for running. Running isn't allowed as it is considered as something people do for pleasure and I can tell she love to run. This girl is so unlike any I have looked at before. I come to a halt as she rounds a corner. She starts to climb up a building. Her feet find holes my eyes couldn't see like she has done it one thousand times. I almost shout out at her to stop her, I feel the need to protect her but I catch myself as I realize she doesn't need protecting. She gets to the top and swings her feet over the edge. I gasp as me heart starts pounding, it's not that high but I know if I were up there my breath would be knocked out of me. I watch her intently cowering in the shadows which stretch out as the day turns to night.

Tris POV

I glance at the blue sky turning a beautiful shade of orange and swing me legs over the edge. I could've sworn I heard a gasp. My eyes search in the dark fierce , not afraid. They find nothing as it is getting darker and the shadows are getting longer. This is my happy place the climb is a thrill and the height keeps my heart beating a little faster than usual. I like the feeling. I know I should return to me stifling faction but I wish I could run away to somewhere I can be me and not trying to be someone I'm clearly not. I stand taking in one last feel before I can start me exciting descent. Suddenly a strong wind pushes behind me and my feet stumble to the edge and before I know, I'm falling. I scream escapes my mouth.

Four POV

She stands looking powerful but graceful and i think beautiful. I wouldn't know what to compare it to but I can feel heat building inside me when I look at her. I feel the wind spring up out of no where and she stumbles forward. I run without thinking and she plunges down, a blood curdling scream comes from her mouth and then she is in my arms as I collapse to the ground her weight bringing me down with her. I sit up and a searing pain goes through my ribs but I'm used to pain by now. I look over at her and she is passed out but unscathed and she looks unhurt. I gently prop up her head and take a close look at her features. Her lips are slightly apart and tinted rose from where she seems to be constantly biting them. Golden wisps of hair frame her oval face and her slightly large nose twitches as she begins to stir. I realize what has happened and I back away and begin to run home but before I leave I turn and see if she's ok. She sits up and seems fine. He eyes meet mine for a second and then I sprint back.

Tris POV

I regain consciousness and feel a sudden loss of heat against me body. I feel fine. What happened? Then it all rushes back. The heat against my body must've been him. I look around and my eyes meet his. They are deep blue like how I would imagine an ocean to be like. Then he is gone. I stand and sprint after him but he is no where to be found...
