When the group transformed into humans, they suddenly felt excruciating pain all over their body, it was like all the water in their body got forcefully extracted. Only when they went back into the water it felt like they could breathe. Vance noticed that on Ariel and his skin a light glow appeared.
Ariel was horrified and started to cry. Her sisters said the human world was wonderful not painful, it couldn't be that they been always been lying to her. She glanced angry at Vance. After all this was his idea, he had been dreaming of going to human world for so long, he should have made better preparations.
The Princess's tears made the mood plummet even more. The older ones thought she was overreacting, she the most ecstatic about this but her brave façade had collapsed instantly. The youngest children were distraught, when they saw the beautiful princess cry.
Ariel started to complain however Vance didn't feel sorry for her. He felt that his sister was quite amusing as she didn't think that he would notice her selfish plans. In the end the group spilt in two, because Ariel's wailing applied their mistrust in Vance. Vance couldn't care less, together with his close friends he left the water to find a new life.

The first one to follow Vance was Deran. He was Vance his first friend after Morgana brought him back to her home. Deran could only be describe as messy. For some reason it was like the King's genes weren't activated in his DNA at all, he was just like his mother a simple goldfish with an extremely bad short-term memory.
In fish form Vance looked similar to a mandarinfish, his body was flashy and colorful. However the scales around his head lost their colour, it created a gradient to white. Vance wasn't exactly sure why he looked like that but he guessed that the seal or the royal blood had something to with that.
As Vance was stuck in his fish form, Deran would be shocked every time he was Vance swimming around. He would always ask why a fish could swim inside his home and after Vance had answered his question for the Nth time. Deran would look in awe at him, wondering how there was a fish that could talk, completely forgetting he was one as well.
Next up was a pair of twins, called Dirion and Divione. When they decided on names, they had to take in account Deran horrible memory. After hours of thinking, Deran decided on his name and claimed that they should also find a name beginning with the same letter. By then the rest had already lost their patience and didn't bother to tell him that it wouldn't help in remembering their names.
Dirion and Divione were a pair of koi fishes. While Dirion had a mostly black scales with white spots, Divione had the opposite, white with black spots. At Morgana's home, Dirion often gave Deran a beating. One day, Deran confused him with once again his sister and he started to fight him again until Vance came to rescue Deran.
It quickly became any everyday occurrence that Divione would find her brother fighting with Vance. When Deran developed a crush on Divione, Dirion's daily beatings only became worse. But Dirion tried to make sure Vance would be out on a mission before he acted, because there was no way he would be able to win from him. Afterwards Divione would always help her brother and a blushing Deran with treating their wounds.
