After what happened between us we decided to keep walking for a little longer. I don't know if Sadie was in her right mind but I tried not to let it bother me. The sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet filling the air distracted me from the dark secrets she was hiding. Finally we stopped to sit under a willow tree. Sadie put her head on my chest and I had my arms around her waist. We were staring up at the sky that was broken into pieces by the tree branches. I felt adrenaline pump through my veins as I heard a loud noise. I probably would've been more worried about the loud noise that was probably some sort of gun shot, but there was one problem. Adrenaline can't go through my veins.
