Leah's point of view
It has been over thirty minutes since Ciara called, and said that she is bringing my new roommate with her. She refused to tell me anything on the phone except that I will be very happy this time, but that is what she has been saying every time she brings one. Even though I made it clear from the very start that I do not want boys. She keeps on bringing me boys anyways. Well, she brought a girl or two once, but oh god, the first one was really weird and she was messy as hell, and the second one was lesbian (I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH LESBIANS). A freaking lesbian! Who only wanted to put her tongue in my mouth! I swear to god if it is a boy again or some weirdo, I will cut both of their heads off and feed them to the dogs in my neighborhood.
Feeling bored, I grabbed the remote control and switched on the TV. I started flipping through the channels when the doorbell rang. I got up from the couch and walked over to the door. I took a quick look on the mirror on the wall to fix my hair. Putting on my best smile, I opened the door. My smile immediately dropped and was replaced with a frown. I looked at Ciara who was smiling like a crazy little girl and back to the tall, blonde guy next to her who was staring at me with the bluest eyes I have ever seen. His smile was so wide and bright.
"Hi, I'm Luke Hemmings." he said, taking his lip ring between his teeth as he extended his hand for me to shake. Not to want to seem rude, I smiled again and answered.
"I'm Leah." I waved back, not able to shake his hand. He looked for a second before chuckling and dropping his hand to his side.
"Are you going to leave us by the door, Lee?" Ciara commented. I moved to the side and they walked in. Closing the door behind them, I sighed before following them to my so called living room. Ciara was already sitting on the couch while Luke was just standing there awkwardly.
"Please have a seat." I said pointing to the opposite sofa. He nodded before walking over and sitting down while I sat down next to Ciara.
"What did I tell you about boys, Ciara?!" I whispered to her through gritted teeth before flashing Luke a smile.
"But he's hot, Lee." she pouted like a puppy.
"Well I already have a heater, so I don't need his hotness." I whispered again, clenching my fists, ready to throw some punches at her.
"I'm sorry, but he is all I could find. Can't you see? It has been more than four months since your last roommate left and no one came again. You need money Lee."
She was right, I do need money. I have been spending all of it on the bills. I looked back at Luke who was staring at the TV like if it was the most important thing now. My mind wandered off as I pictured us living together, and the first thing that came to my mind was him touching me. My hands began to shake as sweat formed on my forehead. I felt my bottom lip tremble and quickly shook my head.
"I-I cannot do t-that Ciara, I c-cannot." I stuttered, looking at her eyes. She squeezed my hand.
"It's okay, honey. I'm sorry. Forget about this, you do not have to do it. Just relax." she turned to Luke, who was now looking at us and then back at me. His eyes wandered worriedly between us.
"A-are you okay?" he asked, sounding concerned. I nodded running a hand through my hair. "Yeah, she's just nervous." Ciara smiled.
I took a big breath before sighing. "Umm, Luke..." I pulled my hair over my shoulder letting my neck to cool up. "Listen, I don't think this would work out. I was expecting a girl roommate-" I shoot Ciara a glare. "And I still want a girl roommate, I am really sorry."
I stood up waiting for him stand up too, so we could end this, but he sat still.
"I'm sorry I was not what you expected, but I really need a place. I would pay for the first three months, and I can promise you I will not annoy you at all." He begged. "Just try me, and if anything happens, you can kick me out. I'm kind of used to that." He chuckled at the last part.
I looked at Ciara, and she smiled sweetly at me as if saying 'You can do it Leah'. I sighed again before rubbing my face with my hands. 'He would pay for three months! Come on, Leah, it's not like you are going to sleep with him, plus you can make few rules so he will not bother you.' I thought. I ran my hand through my hair as a habit before replying. "Okay." I quietly said but loud enough for him to hear it.
"Really? Okay? Thank you so much. You will not regret it." He laughed.
"But I have a few rules around here, you will know them once you bring in your luggage." I seriously said, firmly looking at him, already thinking of the first rule in my mind. 'Do not ever, ever come near me.'
"Okay that's cool with me." he smiled and stood."I will be here this evening, if that is fine with you?" I nodded and he walked past me, to the door and out. Ciara immediately jumped into me and hugged me, or in other words, choked me!
"I am so happy for you. I know you'll manage."
"I freaking hate you Ciara." I hit her back and she whined.
