"I'll do the dishes." Luke offered, taking my dish with his as we finished dinner, and walked over to the sink. I wiped my mouth with a napkin before following him.
"No no! I will do them, it's the least I can do." I said, turning on the sink as I nodded for him to move away. He chuckled, leaning on the counter.
"Well I was hoping you would say that because honestly I cannot stand doing the dishes. Back at my parent's house, I used to do them for my mother because she was always busy with work and my brothers are lazy slobs. So, I was always stuck doing them and I hated that." His face wrinkled in annoyance, and I laughed so hard.
"Well, as long as you are here, don't worry about that. I will do them." I told him with a smile. He held his heart in a surprised manner as he talked.
"That is the sweetest thing that someone has ever said to me. Thanks, you really touched my heart." He faked wiping a tear and I laughed shaking my head at his ridiculousness. I grabbed the sponge, drenched it in water, and started rinsing off the excess food. I glanced at Luke, and he just stood there staring at me with his big, blue ocean eyes. To say that his eyes were not beautiful or the way his dimples show when he smiles, would be lying. Truth to be told, I desired to keep looking at his eyes, but it was really uncomfortable.
"Stop staring at me, it's weird!" I said with a light laugh. He snapped out of his thoughts and smiled, approaching me.
"I'm sorry, I can't help it." He said, placing the washed dishes on the dish racks. I blushed, turning my head away. The last thing I wanted was him to see me blushing.
"You're blushing!" He smirked and bumped his hip against mine gently. My eyes widened at the sudden action and shakiness run through my entire body, causing the dish to slip off my hands and fall into the sink.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry." He sounded concerned, his eyes showing sincerity. Even though I wanted to yell and hit him with a mug right on his head, I somehow managed to calm myself.
It's okay, it's okay. It is okay. It is okay Leah. It is just a bump. Ciara bumps hips with me all the time and Adam does too.
"Don't worry about it." I said, my voice coming out weak and cracked at the end, but I forced out a smile.
"Are you sure? I mean, I forgot about not touching you, and usually you would yell at-" I cut him off.
"How about we go out for a drink?" I asked. His eyebrows were raised up at me in a surprised manner before he smirked.
"Drop that smirk off, it is not a date!" I said walking towards my room to get ready.
"Whatever you say, sunshine." He called behind me.
It was dark outside, the street dimly lit by the flickering street lamps as we walked away from Luke's car. He had insisted on taking us to this club that he knew and I agreed. It was weird, and I don't know why I suggested this going out thing in the first place, but I'm kind of glad that I did because Luke seems happy about it, and I guess this could make up for my picky attitude earlier today.
I got the impression Luke knew the bouncer on the club door, when they shook hands before the man moved to the side allowing us in, much to the annoyance of the people that were stood waiting in a line.
We made our way through the sweaty crowd and over to a booth at the back. I sat down and Luke slid along to sit next to me keeping a safe space between us.
"Hey, mate." Luke was greeted by the waiter who had these cute dimples when he smiled. He was tall, and his dirty blonde hair was held to the back by a bandana. Luke greeted him back before his eyes fell on me and he smirked. "Who is the beautiful lady?" he asked raising an eyebrow. I blushed smiling.
