Chapter edited by @redbren

Putting on my earphones, I made my way out of my French class, still thinking of what had happened yesterday. That guy is starting to get me on my nerves. After what had happened this morning, he should have never crossed my way again, but instead he has the balls to ask me ou-

"Leah, wait!" Ciara slithered up beside me, leisurely stretching her arm around my shoulder and flashing her white teeth smile.

"So, what happened?" she wiggled her eyebrows. I groaned taking off my earphone and placing them inside my bag, knowing that with Ciara walking with me home, I will not have the chance to listen to anything with her babbling all the way.

She noticed my annoyed face and her arm immediately dropped to her side, her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.

"What's wrong? Did Luke say anything to you?" she asked. I pushed my bangs behind my ear and looked at her.

"Well, your mister all blonde hair and blue eyes asked me out on a date." Her eyes widened and she smiled.

"And what did you say?" she asked. I gave her a look of 'what do you think?' and her smile faded away.

"Of course you said no." she said under her breath.

We walked our way out of the building. "But it's not like you guys are going to have an intimate relationship. Just endure it!" she said and I averted my gaze back at her.

"But I cannot endure it if he keeps getting near me! I know that he is all nice to you and Adam, but those sweet words of him cannot fool me." I bit my lower lip and run a hand through my hair as I quickened my pace, not in the mood to talk anymore. Ciara jogged, matching my pace and held my arm to stop me from walking any further.

"The bus stop is this way Leah." She pointed out and I realized that I was not paying attention to the way I was going, that I forgot to take a turn.

"Shit!" I said under my breath as we walked back.

"Can I say something, Lee? But please do not get mad." She softly said. "What?" I raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner.

"Why don't you actually try?" she held my hand as we sat down at the bus stop.

"Try what?" I looked at her confused.

"Try to overcome your fears. Uh, I mean be with someone, be touched, kissed, and loved. You cannot spend the rest of your life alone." She soothingly spoke. I sighed, rubbing my forehead as I thought for a moment.

"You know it's not that easy for me, Ciara, and plus, who would like to be with someone like me? Even if someone does, he will not be patient with me. Remember what happened with Eric?" I told her, my mind unconsciously wandering back to my days with Eric.

"I know Leah, but that was past. You moved on! So, why don't you try again?" she gave me an encouraging smile. I let out a tired sigh, glancing at my side to see the bus arriving.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow." We got up and I gave her a hug.

"Just promise me to think about it." She said as I pulled away.

"Whatever." I waved her goodbye and took the bus home.

"Have a nice day, Patrick." I waved at the middle aged bus driver, pressing my lips together when he parked across the street to my apartment's building. He just smiled and nodded, driving away when I crossed the street.

Pulling my keys out of my bag, I opened the door and closed it behind me once I was inside. I turned around to spot Luke lying down on the couch, his laptop rested on his belly as he snored loudly. I took off my shoes and quietly walked to my bedroom. I throw my bag on the bed and walked to the closet. Taking out a pair of grey shorts and a white tank top, I quickly got changed and walked out to the bathroom. I glanced back at Luke and he was still in the same position.

Closing the bathroom door behind me, I headed to the sink. I washed my face taking off my makeup, then pulled my hair up into a ponytail and walked back to the living room where Luke's body was taking all space of the couch. I sat down on the mini sofa and turned on the TV. I heard him groan, and I glanced to see him sitting up. He rubbed his eyes a few times before finally noticing me. "When did you get here?" he asked, clearly confused.

"Why do you care?" I continued flipping through the channels, not bothering to look at him.

"I was just asking." He closed his laptop and placed it on the table before leaning back on the couch.

"Well, don't ask again. It's my apartment, and I get in and out whenever I want." I turned off the TV and throw the remote control next to him and walked back to my room.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Luke yelled from behind.

I throw myself on the bed, and pulled the duvet over my body. I laid down there for a few minutes, my mind wandering off to a certain person.

"Eric, I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm ready yet." I spoke quietly as he cupped my chin. His other hand playing with my hair. He stopped his movements and held my face in his large hands.

"It's going to be okay. I have waited for so long for you than any normal guy would do." He brushed my trembling lips with his thumb, sending shivers down my spine. Grabbing my shaky hand, he unfolded my fist and placed it on his chest. I looked into his eyes, my heart beating so hard that it almost felt as if it was going to rip out my rib cage. He leaned in and his lips brushed with mine.

"No. No. No. I cannot do this Eric, please don't force me." I tried to push him, yet he didn't move and started kissing my jawline and down to where my neck and shoulder met.

"Eric, stop." I felt my eyes water up, but he pulled me even closer, never letting go.

"Leah?" I heard my name being called and my eyes shot open. I must have had fallen asleep. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and pushed the duvet off my body. The door was knocked four times and I got up, walking over it. I opened it, and I was met by Luke.

"What?" I raised my eyebrow annoyed.

"I was going to tell you that I made dinner, but clearly you are still in your mood." He said walking to the kitchen and sitting down on the dining table. "Yes, thank you very much, and I'm not in the mood." I snapped at him before slamming the door closed. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as I rubbed my forehead repeatedly.

The door was knocked again and I groaned opening it. "What now?" I yelled. "For God's sake can you tell me why are you acting like this? What the hell wrong did I do to you? It's the first day and I am trying my hardest, but I do not think it is going to work because of your picky personality!" he said angrily running a hand through his blonde hair while I stood there speechless. Never in my life, thought I that my attitude effected people around me. Regret hit me hard and I felt guilty for overreacting.

"Is it because I asked you out?" he laughed. "Well, then just forget about it, I was only trying to break the awkwardness between us." He shook his head and sighed before walking back to the kitchen. I stood in my place for a second then I followed him.

Taking a deep breath, I sat down on the dining table opposite him. I peeked at him through my eyelashes and his eyes were glued on the plate in front of him. I cleared my throat before speaking.

"I'm sorry." I said, but it came out as whisper. So, I was not sure if he heard it. "I'm s-" I was cut off.

"I heard you, and it's okay." He said, chuckling. I could not help but laugh and he laughed along.

"So, is your offer still up?" I asked smiling. He raised his eyebrows confused. "What offer?" He asked.

"About dinner, silly, I am so hungry!"
