Loki looked at Dreco with rage, hate, and sadness surging through his eyes and his entire body.
His next words were trembling on the the tip of his tongue as he said, "W-what have you done to her?"
"Well...," Dreco said, a slight smile on his face. "Luna finally realized how much of a better man I'd be than you."
"No!" Loki shouted. "She'd never say that! She knows how demented you really are!"
"Oh no, Loki," the the Elf casually remarked. "That is where you'd be wrong."
Loki roared, "THAT'S NOT TRUE!" He threw an energy beam towards Dreco, but before the beam could even hit him, Luna sped to block the attack with a sword he'd never seen her use or wield before in both of their lives together.
...As if she was defending him...
"L-Luna..." Loki breathed. He locked eyes with Dreco.
"WHAT SPELL DO YOU HAVE HER UNDER? Luna would never do this if she was using her brain. You did something to her. Now, what. Did you. Do?" The last sentence was punctuated with a materialization of a staff with tears, now, nonexistent in his eyes.
"Oh, I just helped her out a bit. I made it...easier for her to be complacent with me."
Loki growled and tried to attack Dreco with his staff, but Luna parried it. He looked desperately at his wife. He tried to find something. Anything that could let him know that his wife was still in there.
She still had the same beautiful face with her delectable full lips, her cute button nose, and the same dark brown eyes that once held so much life and laughter and love...but now nothing.
He saw nothing. The eyes that looked back into his green ones were emotionless and soulless.
Couldn't he just find something?
"Give it up, Loki," Dreco started. "She's mine now. You'll never have her back, you swine." He caressed her skin and kissed her cheek while looking into Loki's eyes.
Loki tried to get past Luna, but it wouldn't work. She wouldn't budge.
"Luna, please," Loki pleaded with a whisper.
"Besides," Dreco continued, not even acknowledging Loki's plea. "If you want to fight me, you'll have to get through her to get to me, and I know you can't do that..." At the end of the sentence, Loki could see a dangerous glimmer in Dreco's eyes as he backed away from the couple.
Loki shook his head in disbelief. "D-Dreco...you're insane! You can't do that."
"And why not?" Dreco simply cocked his head out of confusion.
"Wha-? You say you love Luna and then you go and make her do this against her will for you?!" Loki shook his head.
"This isn't love, Dreco; this is insanity."
Dreco's face went red with anger. "Insanity? INSANITY?! No, this is nothing of the sort." With each word out of his mouth, he trembled even more.
"Love just calls for compromises and sacrifices!"
Loki shook his head in disgust and gripped his staff tightly. The action sent a ripple to the others, getting ready to attack Dreco at Loki's signal.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, oh no you don't. That's not going to happen, said Dreco, clicking his fingers. With the simple action came the sound of soldiers' feet were heard, and soon before they knew it, there were about 20 soldiers; actual elves and not smoky apparitions.
"You cannot help your mischievous friend in this situation." He motioned to the guards. "These lovely men and women can surely guide you out of the castle...or they can force you out..."
Thor and the others looked at Dreco menacingly. Being the impulsive one of the brothers, Thor chucked Mjolnir toward Dreco.
"Gods, Thor, no!" Loki shouted at him, dodging the mighty hammer, gasping when it almost hit Luna; thankfully she blocked it easily, however, now, she had her sights for the golden avenger.
Loki's eyes widened as he saw where and who her new target was. Before she got to him, his raven-haired brother blocked his wife's attack and turned to his brother. "Thor, go now! I'll take care of these two. You guys take care of the guards."
Thor looked at his brother, his countertenace reflective of his proud feeling towards Loki. He couldn't believe he was being a such a fearless leader.
Thor acknowledged Loki's orders with a nod.
Dreco saw this too and nodded to his guards. "Attack!" He said, gesturing to the group. Soon, the room erupted in an uproar as 50 soldiers all let out battle cries towards Thor and the others as they went out attacking the rest of the soldiers. All the while, Luna and Dreco had their eyes on Loki.
When a the guards were outside and the clamoring sound miles away from them, all Dreco said was, "Let's finish this shall we?"
The Elf snapped his fingers and that's when Luna began to attack.
