connor's p.o.v

"to the library once again" i said to myself as i stood up from the table i was sitting at. as i was walking, my hair was going in front of my face due to the wind which really annoys me. i looked down at my nails. they were all chipped and black since i really hate gender roles and want to flip someone off with my middle finger which happens to be the only one that's not chipped or fucked up.

i took step after step and before i knew it, i was greeted by the libraries white door and i reached for the door knob to open it. i walked in to see the usual people i see everyday.

the emo kid all the way in the corner doing their eyeliner. the nerdy kid who just talks about star wars all day with his friend. the lgbt kid that always talks about his crush which makes me want to help him but it's not my business.

i walk to my usual seat which is by the steven king books. he was my favourite author. i reached over to the bookshelf and grabbed the book. i was currently reading IT which ive read before but wanted to read again. the movie inspired me to read it again.

i put my hair in a kinda messy bun and put on my reading glasses which surprisingly didn't look like an elder own them. i started to read with a small smile plastered on my face.

as i read, i heard the door open but didn't look up. he continued to read until he heard the voice.

"hello charlotte, im glad you're okay now" i looked up and my eyes immediately glued to the boy in front of the counter. he was kinda short for his age and he was wearing a studio ghibli "my neighbor totoro" canvas backpack. he bounced to one section of the library and i noticed his outfit.

it was an oversized brown knitted sweater. he had baby blue jeans that he rolled into cuffs on the bottom. he had black docs and cute round glasses. my heart started to race a bit.

he came back with like 6 manga books and then placed them two tables in front of me. he stretched a bit before sitting down and smiling. he got his phone out and redid his lips. they were so peachy and kissable.

he grabbed one of the books and started to read. all i could do was just look. his hair was kinda soft looking and he ate mochi while he read.

"that's evan..." i looked to my right and it's the nerdy kid. he put his glasses up and smirked.

"he really must like anime and manga" the nerdy kid nodded and connor smiled softly. evan dropped his mochi but quickly ate it. it made connor giggle a bit.

"yeah. he started coming to this school a week ago and he always gets manga. always. he always has something japanese too...today was mochi" connor looked at the nerdy kid and smiled

"what's your name" the kid started to read again and chuckled

"names ben. that's my boyfriend taylor" the kid waved and i smiled waving back. i looked back at evan and he was giggling at the book. he was super cute.

ever since i knew evan existed, he's all i see around school. when im at lunch he's eating a bento box with chop sticks. when im walking to class i hear him singing something in japanese as i pass by. even when im walking home. he always takes the tram home which makes me question where he lives.

of course, i see him everyday at the library. he always reads manga in there. i just stare for a bit everyday and he would never notice.

until today.

i was writing an essay and slipped out of a daydream when hearing evan squeak. i looked up and see him red in the face by the manga he was reading.

he looked around the library to see if anyone saw and his eyes locked with mine. my cheeks turned a strawberry red colour. his cheeks went the same and he looked down.

i looked down and was so done with leaving him alone. i needed to be at least a friend with him. i stood up from my seat and walk over to sit next to him.

he didn't say anything once i sat down but after 10 minutes he tapped my shoulder. i turned to face him and...god he looked cuter up close

"why did you sit here? you are usually reading a eteven king novel in that corner..". i just shrugged and looked at his manga.

"what are you reading?" he put his hands on the manga and played with the edges. he took a deep breathe and then looked at me.

"... tsuki ga kirei..." i smiled laying my head on my hand. evan turned even more of a red colour and smiled at me too. i just noticed he had freckles which made me whimper inside.

"what's it about?" i asked and evan started to explain. it was basically a nice cute romantic show about a girl and a guy. watching evan talk on and on really made me happy. once he was done he just stared at me a bit.

"u-um hello?" i waved my hand in front of his face and he jumped. he smiled nervously at me and then looked at his manga talking to himself a bit. i just say there admiring his perfections.

"you know...you're the only boy here that actually likes manga....we should be friends or something" i asked putting my hand in the back of my head and giving a nervous chuckle. evan looked at me with those baby blue eyes of his and he nods.

"i would love to be friends with you...what is your name?" i took out a pen and wrote down my number and name on a little notebook that he had next to him. he was taking notes in his little notebook which was really cute

"we should get some mochi or something together" i said and the bell rang. i gathered my things and then put my backpack strap over my shoulder.

"m-mochi...just you and me?" he asked and i smiled nodding a bit. i start walking away before turning around

"i think we are gonna have a very nice relationship you and me..." i wave goodbye to him before leaving. i put my hand to my chest as i walked and blushed

holy shit...i actually did that

more than 2 months because i have had the worst writers block in the entire world
