Chapter 1: The Truth

Part 2

Days pass and it's the last day of the weekend.

Maya is feeling so sick. She spent the whole week restlessly studying and that made her catch a cold before the start of the exams. It'll be harder for her to pass it.

Monday

Everyone seems fine and cool. Students are having some relaxing time with easy exams at the start of the week. They all chat together after sitting for their tests. Maya is feeling slightly better but she has a headache. The exam wasn't that hard for her. She arrives home after having some long conversations with Liam. Now she has to revise for tomorrow's exam. But the smile on Liam's face after the exam is enough to make her get distracted. But she sleeps like an angel when she feels tired.

Tuesday

Maya wakes up feeling active and apparently better after taking her daily medicines. Her mother tells her that it's not necessary to go to school today. But Maya insists because she wants to see Liam and spend time with him after sitting for her test.

-''It's History!! '' Her mother says.

-"I should be good at all the subjects." Maya replies.

Maya's mother seems pretty impressed by the sight of her daughter finally caring about her exams. Maya goes to school on her own. She doesn't find Liam waiting for her by the side of the road like usual. She enters the long hall of the school where Liam always waits for her with their friends. But he isn't there too. After searching for Liam, Maya sits for her exam but she is too distracted. After finishing, she goes back home alone too. She has to clear her mind and revise for her next exam tomorrow.

Wednesday

The morning light pierces through the window and lands on Maya's tired green eyes. Maya's face seems to be restless even after spending more than seven hours asleep.

-"I'm worried about her?" says her father.

-"God help her please" prays her mother.

Just like yesterday, the spot next to the road is empty. Maya can't take it. She has to know what's wrong with him. So she knocks on his house's door and rings the bell. No one answers. She has to carry on. On the way she meets Alexa and Miranda. They have some news for her.

Miranda says:

-"He came to pass his exam yesterday. He was so tired. He was late to his Math exam too. But he finished quickly and went out. This was all I could figure out from his classmates. "

Maya thanks her for the information. Alexa also has something to say too. She hesitates but she finally confesses:

-"I'm pretty sure that I saw him walking on the street. He was hugging a familiar blond girl while she was sobbing. They got into a big black car then I lost vision of it."

Maya's heart beats started racing. She starts sweating and worrying but she has to calm down. Her physics exam needs a little bit of extra focus.

She hardly makes it through the questions of the test. She's not sure that her answers are right. She directly goes home and sleeps because she had a really exhausting day.

Thursday

Maya is awaken by the sound of her father's old car.

-"Girl wake up." Screams her daddy.

-" I'm going to take you to school today, I have some free time before I go to work."

-"Oh no I don't want to be seen in that old fashioned car." Maya whispers in complaint.
