A Vampire's Adventure

Chapter 2 : Revenge

Part 1

Maya can't stand up. Her heart is shaking, her hands are freezing and she still can't believe that she is surrounded by a vampire family. She knows that there are still more people like that. All she has in mind is going back home. She struggles to stand on her feet.... She does it finally. Liam tries to help her but she pushes him away. She walks quickly to the door. But in the blink of an eye Jack moves to block her away. Then he says:

-"Oh no kitty! You won't get out like that. "

Liam looks at him and nods. The big guy adds:

-"How? She knows our secret!"

Liam replies:

-"I trust her. "

When his words reach Maya's ears, she turns and smiles with her eyes full of tears. She wipes her eyes and leaves the house.

Maya slowly walks her way back home. She meets Alexa on the way but she lies to her and tells her that everything is fine. Alexa smells the suspicion but she'll reveal the truth later.

Walking is getting harder with every step Maya makes. She takes the closest road. She finds Russell on her way. She waves at him and she rides back home with her father faking smiles and laughs to not draw attention.

When she arrives back home. She goes to her room and closes the door. Then she cries until she falls asleep.

At the middle of the night she wakes up after having some nightmares. She drinks some water, some more, a little more ... She doesn't feel sleepy, the exams are over already and the holidays start on the next day. She goes to the bathrooms and turns on the light. She looks at herself in the mirror. Then she murmurs:

-"Looks at yourself! Broken easily ... "tears start running down her cheeks. Then she adds:

"He lied to me. But how couldn't I notice that? Actually I was blinded by the hopeful blue eyes he has ... I thought the secret he had was the product he uses for his hair. But he seems to be a vampire. Well... I have to know more about his story. I won't let this take him away from me... "

Then she confesses to the mirror:

-"Girl you're in love aren't you? Don't get broken once again ... "

Then she gets interrupted by her mum:

"What's wrong sweetie?"

Maya lies:

-"I'm going to miss my friends and my best friends. Especially Alexa she may be moving soon and going abroad."

Her mother holds her hand and says to her:

-"Cutie search for friends but never forget to find a lover. Someone that hugs you when you cry. Someone that fights other men for your safety. "

Maya remembers Liam and what he did with Jack to protect her ... She hugs her mother with more tears in her eyes.

She goes to her room and prepares herself to go back to sleep. Suddenly she hears someone knocking on her window. She opens it to find a letter that looks like a scroll from the middle ages. It's left on the edge and tied up with a red string. She takes it inside and opens the drawer to search for some scissors. She cuts string. Then she extends it to find some words signed by Liam. The words written are:

"I'm writing to say sorry.

I wanted to sing to you a song.

But I'm writing poetry.
