Chapter 3 : Lost souls

A week later

Liam hasn't slept since three days. His Eyes dried from crying over his lost lover. It seemed like he lost Maya forever. They searched the area and they even went to where Robert's headquarter is but it was empty. Amber is fully healed thanks to her grandma's help.

Today is the fifth day of searching. Maya is nowhere to be seen. They went to search in the forest near the south generator.

Jack is hunting the rabbits and birds to fill the blood storage they have in the house. Martin is trying to develop a weapon ...

The grandma hasn't left the trial field since the day when Maya got kidnapped. She stayed with Amber and they were both using all their knowledge to create new elixirs. That black-haired guy was too strong and they haven't felt a similar scent like that before.

Liam is resting on a rock near a lake after a long searching journey. Martin makes steps closer to Liam's location while holding two cups.

-''No need for a therapist, I'll feel better soon." Said Liam.

-"I know but you need some company brother." Replies Martin while handing Liam a cup.

Liam receives the cup and takes a sip.

-"Rabbit blood! How fresh!"

-"Feels way better right?"

-"It's good but nothing can make you feel better after losing who meant the world for you."

-"You mustn't feel bad. You're the chosen one you'll find a solution."

-"Just because I'm 'the chosen one' I must accept that I killed my own parents and let my lover die that easy!

What about Maya why does she has to take the responsibility of me living with the shadow of my dead ex!" Screams Liam.

-"No don't let the other Liam get out! We are here! You won't go crazy and kill everybody like you did five years ago!"

Liam throws the cup aside, jumps away and starts running.

While he's running through the forest, He smells a human's scent.

It's not Maya's scent but it's familiar. Liam's heart starts beating faster, there are more human beings around the place. It's unusual ...

Liam walks around trying to find the source of the smell. Jack appears from the bushes while he's sucking the blood from the leg of a deer.

-"I don't have the urge to consume humans but Robert's gang will suck the very last drop of their blood." Said Jack.

-"We need to find out if they are targeting this location." Said Liam

Jack smirks as confirmation to Liam's suspicions. They go on the tip of their toes following the smell. Minutes of walking lead them to a location with less thicker trees. They hid waiting for the humans to appear.

A group of twenty guys is detected by their vision. Liam hides Jack behind a big tree. He goes with his smooth and stealthy steps to get closer for some in depth investigation.

A Familiar voice is coming from the back. Liam gets even closer because he can't wait to know who the owner of the voice is.

-"That guy ... Isn't he? ... Russel?" whispers Liam.

Maya's father seems so tired because his team have chosen Poveglia as the place where to shoot their music video.
