One

waking up before sunrise can be weird some days
I wonder how I still manage to do it

even if my body wants to stay in bed
I manage to get up

I wake up in the silence of darkness
where it is neither dusk nor dawn

does that mean I am a morning person?

I walk to school
earlier than everyone else

about half an hour early
when the students aren't in
but the teachers are

sometimes I wander around the school
sometimes I sit outside and read

sometimes I watch the world through a window in silence
that silence is solitary

and painful.
