Three

I am the quiet one in lessons

I get my work done
and stay in the shadows of everyone

I leave the other students to their buzz
to cause trouble and spread gossip

I get average grades
to satisfy my busy parents

I don't blame them

they work hard to sustain our family
they work hard so I can be respected when I am older

I work hard to show my gratitude
I just wish that they could show more affection

there's only so much I can be happy about
there's only so much they can do with me

so instead I blame myself.
