"Momma, please!" Eddie begged and pleaded. He wanted to go to an amusement park this weekend with the rest of the losers. He knew it was going to be so difficult to convince his mom to let him go without them but he had to at least try.
"Eddie Bear we've discussed why you cannot go," his mother responded. She was sitting on her reclined chair, clipping her finger nails letting all of the clippings fall onto the floor. Eddie shuddered at the thought. Gross.
His mother kept shutting him down, not even looking up from her hands.
"Ma, I know why. But I just don't think it's logical," Eddie said looking down at his feet. Eddie's mom's head perked up at Eddie disagreeing with her. She stood up from her chair and walked over to him, not too pleased with him.
"Eddie, you can not go because of how unsanitary it is there. I mean... let's talk about those god awful bathrooms!" She began.
"But mommy I won't use th-" Eddie was cut off "and do you know how many people vomit on those roller coasters!? I bet they don't clean that well enough," Eddies mother finished.
Eddie hated when his mom attempted to convince him out of going places by bringing up how unsanitary the places were. Completely and utterly hated it.
"Eddie Bear-" she began again.
"Don't...." Eddie began and inhaled as his mother looked at him quizzically, raising an eyebrow. "Don't call me that," he said.
"Aw Eddie," she said and pet his cheek. "I don't think you're hanging out either right people. I mean now you're disrespecting your mother, oh Eddie Bear I'm just trying to look out for you,"
"I said... don't call me that," Eddie said and moved his head causing his mother to move her hand from his cheek.
"Is it that Tozier boy? Is he corrupting you? Making you think it's okay to behave like this," his mother said.
God, he hated when his mom brought up Richie. He had nothing to do with any of this, his mother was just annoying.
"No, he's not 'corrupting' me or whatever. And stop bringing Richie into every single conversation we have were I don't act like your pet!" Eddie snapped.
"Eddie," his mom said, leaning down to eddies level making direct eye contact with him. "You're not going to that park. And you're not to play with Richie anymore,"
Eddie rolled his eyes at the word 'play' because yeah he was still seven, at least his mother thought so.
His mother is really gonna act like this, because he wanted to go to an amusement park? How ridiculous.
"I know this may be a tough adjustment or something. But I have this old journal you could write in," Eddie mother started, standing up straight and walking towards a desk in the living room. She opened a drawer and pulled out an empty notebook.
Are you fucking kidding me? Eddie thought to himself a diary?! That annoyed the shit of of Eddie. He wanted to slap his mother.
She handed him the journal with a huge smile on her face, she thought this was gonna make Eddie all okay again. All 'my baby is still a baby and not a teenager who wants to hang out with his friends' again. Didn't work of course.
Eddie dramatically snatched it away from her and rolled his eyes, his mother seemed not to notice eddies anger and he stomped upstairs.
Dear Fucking Diary,
I'm gay for Richie Tozier and I hate my mother.
