"Why can't you just tell the rest of the losers?" Beverly asked Richie. The two were currently at the Derry Park sitting in the swings by each other, but not really swinging.

Any of the Losers always met at the park when they needed to talk about something really important. And what Richie and Bev had come to talk about was very important indeed.

"I don't know, Bev." Richie started shrugged. He was looking down and fidgeting with his fingers. The midnight breeze messing up his dark mop of curls. Midnight during the summer time was Richies favorite time ever. He got to constantly sneak out without freezing. He got to happily get away from his parents for the night. And he loved it.

"Ya know I can't just come out as bisexual like you did," Richie said throwing his hands up in defeat. Beverly had come out to the losers as bisexual around four months ago. Richie felt relief when he found out that he wasn't alone. Richie wanted to know if Beverly and him were the only ones in the losers the club that were in the lgbt community.

Richie had told Beverly only about a week after she came out to the rest of the losers. He wanted someone to relate to about this kind of stuff. Beverly was happy that Richie had trusted him, and she had always had a feeling he wasn't straight anyways.

"Dude you know how long I was closeted?" Beverly asked looking at Richie raising one eyebrow.

"No?"

"Two years. And it fucking sucked," —Beverly started—"I felt so fucking free when I finally told you guys. When i told everyone matter of fact. I don't know, I just think when you finally tell people you love  you'll accept it more. Ya know?"

Richie sighed. "I know, but you know how my parents are. Homophobic shits."

"Fuck your parents! Honestly Richie. You don't have to tell them, not yet. But I think you should tell the rest of the losers. Ya know? Because we all love you and we'll love you no matter what"  —beverly smiled to herself remembering how she came out to the losers. —"cliché as it sounds"

Richie looked down, he was smiling to himself as he messed with the scar that he had gotten on the palm of his hand. Richie doesn't really remember why he had gotten the scar, but he knows how. A blood oath. Why a blood oath just out of no where he never really knew.

Richie thought of that day and how special it was for all the losers, who it was such a special bonding moment for all of them.

Beverly was right, they did love him. The seven all had scars on their palms to prove it. It was strange to him though, like saying he was bisexual out loud is something he couldn't take back and it scares him a little.

How Beverly actually found out about Richies sexuality is actually kind of a funny story....

flashback

Richie and Bev had been hanging out at the park for about an hour now, just the two of them because surprisingly enough, everyone else was busy.

Richie had pulled out his box of cigarettes that he had in his pants pocket, along with his lighter. Richie quickly placed the killing stick between his teeth before quickly lighting it.

"Ya know Rich, cigs aren't good for you," Beverly commented smiling, as she took a cigarette from Riche's box and lit one of her own putting it between her lips. Richie scoffed at her hypocrisy, but the two continued to smoke.

After a few minutes of the two just smoking, being trapped in their own personal thoughts, Richie thought of something quite hilarious that happened to him the other day during breakfast.

"So I got called gay at Waffle House a few days ago," Richie said looking at the ground under him.

Beverly raised an eyebrow in confusion, "why?"

"I was being gay," Richie said.

"That doesn't really give me much context,"

Richie laughed, "I know but I don't really know how to describe it. I was just being super really gay, and someone called me out on it,"

Beverly gave Richie a confused look and raised an eyebrow. "You know, sometimes I actually think you're gay," Beverly laughed.

Richie looked at her and raised his hand, making a kind of gesture with it before putting his hand back down and taking another inhale of his cigarette before blowing it out in front of him.

"Wait. You're gay?" Beverly asked, she was dead serious now. "No Beverly," Richie responded. "But then what was that hand gesture- oh. Are you... like bisexual?" Beverly whispered.

Richie just shrugged a little bit. "I mean, yeah I guess? But like I haven't told anyone so zip your lip about it," Beverly just nodded her head taking another puff of her cigarette.

Beverly knew Richie didn't want her to make a big deal out of this so she didn't. And he was quite satisfied with her reaction.

End of Flashback

Richie thought of how Beverly was so supportive and smiled.

He was still looked at the scar placed on his palm and without looking up he whispered.

"Okay"

Beverly looked at him and smiled. "Okay?" She wasn't sure what that meant. She thought that maybe meant he was finally going to come out to the losers but with Richie you could never really tell.

Richie looked at Beverly making sure to make eye contact before cracking a no teeth smile again.

"Okay, lets do this." Richie softly said (but still eligible for Beverly to hear of course)

Beverly smiled and grabbed Richies hand with the hand she wasn't holding her cigarette with. Richie looked at their hands with the smile still on his face.

"I'm ready," (a/n REDDIE) Richie said letting out the breath he wasn't even aware he was holding until just then.

Beverly stomped her cigarette out and was now currently texting the losers telling them to meet them at the quarry when they could.

Richie stood up and stomped his cigarette out as well. Beverly stood up and put her phone in her back pocket. She reached her hand out for Richie to take which of course he did.

Now the two best friends were off to the quarry, hand in hand and for once,

Richie wasn't scared. Of anything.
