"What the hell was that," Dean demanded, carrying Faith into the warehouse. Sam, Castiel, and Ellen followed him into the building.
"I don't know. How's she doing," Sam asked.
"Not good, she's losing blood. We're lucky that wasn't an angel blade," Dean replied.
"She'll heal, but it won't be quick," Cass said.
"Well, can't you do it," Ellen suggested.
"It's bad. She must do this herself," he said. Dean found a bed and set her down on it. Ellen sat down next to her and started to put bandages on the wound.
Dean pulled Sam aside and said, "Sam, War's here. The quicker we get this done, the quicker we can get out of here and get to Famine."
"Yeah, but Dean...we can't just leave her here. She'll be pissed when she wakes up and sees we're gone," Sam protested.
"No, she'll understand, I'll leave her a note. We need to finish this," Dean said. They walked back into the room, where Ellen had finished with the bandages.
Cass was pacing the room when he looked at them, "What are we gonna do? We can't just leave her here."
"We have no choice," Dean said.
"No! I won't go with you," Cass protested.
"Cass, this is what Faith would want. Don't let her getting stabbed not mean anything. We won't be any good to her dead," Sam said.
"They're right, Castiel. The sooner we do this, the quicker Jo, Bobby, and Rufus back. We have no choice," Ellen said.
"How will she know where to find us," he asked.
"I'll leave her a note and my gun," Dean said. Everyone was quiet and looking at Castiel.
"So are you coming or not," Sam asked.
"Yeah...I guess," he answered. They all got up and left the room leaving Dean alone with Faith.
He had a piece of paper in his hands, "Now this is where we're gonna be at. You get your lazy ass out of bed and come meet us. We need you, so don't keep us waiting." He left the note next to her and put his pistol on top of it.
He walked out to find Sam staring back at the room, "Do you think she'll be ok?"
"She will, she always gets better," Dean replied.
Sam's eyes were swelling with tears, "It's just...if she dies, she'll die knowing that I started the apocalypse because I didn't listen to her or you. She'll die thinking that I didn't trust her all because I wanted to kill one demon."
Dean hugged Sam and sighed, "It's ok, Sammy. She knows that you thought you were doing the right thing. She won't die because that wasn't an angel blade. That's the only thing that can kill her. She'll find us and we'll finish this together." Sam was silent for a moment and then nodded his head.
He detached from Dean and nodded, "You're right. So what's the plan?"
"Well, we know War has a ring. All we need to do is find him, cut it off, and find Bobby, Rufus, and Jo," Dean answered.
"And how do you propose we do that," Ellen said. Cass and her walked into view and stood next to them.
"Well there was smoke rising on the way in. There must be a house with a fire going," Sam said.
"Demons don't get cold," Ellen stated.
"So, it's humans. Maybe War's hanging around there somewhere," Dean said.
"It's a start," Cass said. They all nodded and left the building. They each had a shotgun and rock salt shells.
"Where did you see the fire," Ellen asked.
"Down by the gas station," Sam answered. They walked that way. They passed the red mustang and saw the smoke.
"So what now," Cass asked.
"We go in, get them out and find War in the process," Dean said.
"How? There could be demons anywhere," Ellen alleged.
"We swivel past them and break into the house unnoticed, grab Rufus, Jo, and Bobby, find War, chop his finger off, grab Faith, and get down to Parson, Kansas before midnight. Any questions?" They all stared at Dean. "What," he said.
"You just remind me of Faith," Sam said. Dean lightly smiled and started walking towards the smoke. Sam followed him around the gas station and in front of a shrub.
"There," Dean said, pointing towards the house. Demons. They were walking the perimeter of the house.
"Damn it," Sam said, "how are we going to get it?"
"You guys go, I'll distract them," Cass said.
"Are you nuts? There's too many," Dean protested.
"I can handle it, now go," he replied. Cass then stepped out from behind the shrub and into the demons' view.
"All right, you sons of bitches! I'm here," he yelled. The demons started to shoot at him, but the bullets had no effect. Cass nodded his head towards them and they took the signal. The three of them ran towards the back of the house.
"There," Ellen said, pointing towards the back door. They followed her and went into the house. When they went in, they saw Rufus, Bobby, and Jo tied up and in a devil's trap.
Then all of them screamed at them, "Behind you!" Whenthey turned around there were five demons behind them. Then it all went black.
******************************************************************************When Faith woke up, she was confused. She was laying on something cold and her chest ached. The last thing she remembered was Cass screaming, but she couldn't remember what he said. She hoisted herself up on her elbows and found the note Dean had left her and his gun. 'Went after Bobby, Jo, and Rufus. Could really use your help in cutting off War's finger. At the house down by the gas station- Dean.' Faith sighed and looked down at her stomach. It was covered in bloody bandages. She took them off to find that the wound had fully healed. Then she remembered it all; she had gotten stabbed by a demon she didn't even see. And they were counting on her to find them. She got up and took Dean's gun with her. When she exited the room, she found someone standing in front of the door that was her way out.
"Gabriel, what are you doing here," she asked.
"I'm here to help you. Your brothers and friends have been captured by the fake demons. They're going to kill them"
"Wait, fake demons," Faith asked.
Gabriel smiled and laughed, "Oh you sorry son of a bitch, War's in town. He's turning people against each other. You think they're demons and they think you're demons. This is what he does."
"But how do I find him," Faith insisted.
"He's by the cherry mustang you saw when you came in. Cut off his ring and everything goes back to normal," he answered.
"Thanks," she said as she walked out the door. She had no idea where she was so she ran straight. If Gabriel was right then her brothers had little time. She found the gas station that she had passed and found the mustang. She pulled out her knife and started to look for War. She started at the gas station and found no one. But as she was leaving the store, she looked inside the car and saw a man sitting behind the wheel. And he was twisting something on his finger, a gold ring.
