The five of them left soon after that conversation ended. Dean drove while Sam rode shotgun. The other three piled in the back with Jo in the middle and Ellen and Bobby on each side of her. The ride to River Pass would take them twelve hours, so Dean and Sam decided to switch off driving every three hours. They had just crossed the South Dakota border when Sam's cell phone rang.
"It's Faith," he said, "Hey. What do you got? Really...where? Yeah when we finish this we'll go straight there. Alright thanks."
"What'd she say," Dean asked.
"Ash found Famine. Parson, Kansas. She said that when we wrap this up, we go straight there. We have two days to wrap this up. He rises tomorrow at midnight."
"Sounds like we got our hands full," Bobby said.
"Let's just focus on War first. If we lose our heads, we won't be any good to Cass and Faith when they get here," Ellen said. Sam and Dean switched up when they hit Alliance, Nebraska. It was around 7:30 in the morning and they had about five hours to go. Faith hadn't called them since the South Dakota border. They assumed that she was getting ready for the hunt. Sam and Dean switched again in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It was 10:15 and still breakfast food. Dean was hungry and he didn't want breakfast.
"Sam, I need a cheeseburger. I need my road food," Dean complained.
"Dean, calm down. Faith's bringing lunch for all of us. I'm sure she knows exactly what to get you," Sam said.
"She better otherwise I'm gonna open a can of whoop-ass on her." Dean continued to drive all the way to River Pass. Sam called Faith and Cass when they were in Estes Park which was twenty minutes out of River Pass.
"Oh and Dean said you had better be bringing lunch. He's starving," Sam said.
"Don't worry. Me and Cass will stop before we get there. What do you want?" Faith asked.
"Cob salad. You want me to ask Dean?"
"No I know what he wants, but could you ask Ellen, Jo, and Bobby?" Faith asked.
Sam turned around and asked them, "Ellen and Jo want an oriental salad and Bobby wants a southwest salad."
"No problem, see you in twenty," Faith said hanging up. When they got to River Pass, the bridge into town was gone. The middle section was collapsed and there was no way for people to go in or leave. Faith and Cass were on the other side with bags of food.
"Thank god! Faith, I was gonna open a can of whoop-ass on you if you didn't bring me food," Dean yelled.
"Dean, I know you. You're always hungry, but you have no idea what I got you," she replied.
"It better be something good," he said.
"Double bacon cheeseburger with extra everything," she said.
"Wooohooo!" he yelled, "Thank you Faith! See Sam, she loves me more!"
"Oh yeah, I'm sure," Sam said.
"And Sam...I got you an onion log," Faith yelled.
"Ah yes!" Sam said.
"Disgusting," Dean replied.
"So are you guys coming," Cass asked.
"Wait you're not coming to get us," Bobby asked.
"Hell no, you're hiking in," Faith said, smiling.
"Oh I'm going," Dean said excitedly.
"Me too," Sam added. The five of them rushed over to the other side of the bridge to find two picnics tables with table cloths.
