The nurse dragged Sam and Castiel in, one at a time, and dropped their bodies in front of Pestilence. They had returned to consciousness and were groaning.

"This wasn't how we planned this," Cass said.

Sam groaned, "Oh shut up."

"Well, this is certainly something," Pestilence said loudly, "An occupied vessel, but completely powerless; you're cut off from the main office, aren't you?" Instead of a reply, Castiel just groaned. "Sam Winchester! I have wanted to meet you for a long time! Lucifer has a message for you and so do I. Lucifer wants you to join him. He said that you shouldn't worry, you won't be alone; your sister will be there too."

"What," Sam whispered.

"Oh, she hasn't told you. Well you can't blame her; it's not exactly an angel of the year award. Lucifer needs her to bring more angels together. They've never seen someone like her, so they'll follow her."

"She would never," Cass yelled through his pain, "She wouldn't!"

Pestilence tilted his head, "I wouldn't be so sure, oh celestial one. There's more to her than anyone thinks. That bond between her and Azazel...it'll make her do things that she wouldn't ever do. Azazel has been prepping her for this for twenty-six years; prepping her for Lucifer, and now she's finally ready."

"Finally, ready to do what," Sam asked.

"To march across the land," Pestilence said with passion, "she'll be our leader alongside Lucifer. Anyway, I have business to attend to."

"What are you doing here," Cass asked.

"This is the perfect breeding ground for disease. Celeste here," Pestilence motioned behind him where an old woman lay on her bed, dead, "she had a combination of the common cold, dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, and chicken pox. Disease gets a bad rap, don't you think? For being filthy, chaotic...but really, that just describes the people who are sick. Disease itself is very pure; single-minded...bacteria have one purpose- divide and conquer. That's why in the end, it always wins...so you gotta wonder why God pours all His love into something so messy and weak?! It's ridiculous...and all I can do is show Him He's wrong, one epidemic at a time, starting with the croatoan virus."

"Croatoan...isn't that from the Roanoke Colony?" Sam asked.

"Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner here! The people of Roanoke Colony disappeared because of me! The virus turns the infected into non-human killers. It spreads by blood-to-blood contact. It's one of the very best that I have."

"And you know what one of the very best Sam and Castiel have," a woman said behind them, "me." Sam looked behind him to find Cashmere holding a knife. She sprinted to Pestilence, who had no time to react, and cut his finger off. He screamed in pain and back away from them. Sam and Cass immediately felt better and got up from the floor. Pestilence was panting and slowly walking towards the only window in the room.

"It doesn't matter, it's too late," he said before vanishing.

"Where the hell were you," Sam asked Cashmere.

"Around, I knew you two would be the perfect bait, so I went for it," she replied.

"The ring," Cass said, "give it to me."

"No I got it," she replied.

"Give it to me before I kill you," Cass said sternly. She sighed and handed him the ring. Pestilence's ring was round with a square, jade stone on the top of it.

"Three down, one to go," Sam said, "Let's go home." Cashmere walked towards the two of them and then they were home. Faith and Dean were waiting for them.

"It certainly took you long enough," Dean said.

"Where's my husband," Cashmere asked.

"He went back home," Faith replied, "You should go too." Cashmere was then gone. Faith and Dean were in the library leaning against Bobby's desk. Sam and Cass walked over to meet them.

"How'd it go with Death," Sam asked.

"Easy, actually; he gave his ring to us," Faith replied.

"What," Castiel exclaimed.

"In return, we are to never look for him or call him again," Dean replied. Sam and Castiel were uneasy around Faith. They didn't know whether or not to trust Pestilence. If what he said was true, then she was lying to them right now. Sam looked at Faith, but she seemed normal like nothing was bothering her at all. However, Pestilence did say that Azazel's bond would make her do things that she wouldn't ever do. "So you have his ring," Dean asked.

"Yeah right here," Cass replied pulling it out of his pocket. He handed it to Dean who then handed the ring to Faith. Sam tensed when he watched Faith walk up the stairs with the ring. Sam followed her into her room. Her room was velvet red with black curtains. Sigils and devil's traps lined the walls and floors. In her closet was a line of black, leather gear, all hung up and in a row. On the floor of the closet was her damaged pair of heels. He knew that she only had one pair at the moment.

"Faith," Sam said, "can I talk to you?"

She turned around unexpectedly and sighed, "yeah, what is it, Sam?" She turned back towards the windowsill were the three other rings were. She placed Pestilence's ring next to them. Sam closed the door behind him, afraid that the conversation might be heard by Dean.

"Are you going to say yes to Lucifer," he asked her.

She sighed and sat on her bed, "You wouldn't understand." Sam walked and took a seat next to her. "To be an outsider from all the other angels is like being an albino deer. Everyone walks away when I walk towards them, except Cass. Lucifer just seems to be a way out."

"But it doesn't have to be like that; we have the rings now! All we need is Lucifer," Sam protested. Faith got up from the bed and walked over to her window. In the salvage yard, Bobby, Ash, Ellen, Jo, Dean, and Cass were playing corn hole and laughing. Dean, as usual, had a drink in his hand and was clutching Jo's side. She was smiling and leaning her head on Dean's shoulder. Everyone was having a good time.

"If anything is worth saving, this is it. I need to do this," Faith said turning away from the window.

Sam sighed and pulled out the angel blade that he stole from Cass, "then I'm sorry." When Faith saw what he was holding, thunder suddenly broke. Lightning flashed across the sky. Sam looked behind it all to find Faith's angel wings spreading in the shadows. Sam took his chance; he leaped at her, but he was too slow. Faith darted out the window, but she didn't fall. Instead, she hovered in the air above the ones in the salvage yard.

Dean looked up and saw his floating sister and yelled, "No Faith!" Sam looked at his sister and saw that her eyes were no longer golden, but fiery red.

"It doesn't matter if you leave," Sam yelled, "You don't have the rings." Faith smiled and held out her hand.

In her palm were the four rings, "it's ok, Sammy; now you'll know what it feels like when your sibling leaves you." Then she was gone, leaving, but a thunderstorm.

Rain started to fall, but Dean didn't move, "Sam, you get your ass down here now!" Sam sighed and ran out of Faith's room and down the stairs. Everyone had come inside and out of the rain except for Dean. Sam walked out the front door and into the rain. Dean was standing next to his car, about a hundred yards from the house. Sam walked over to find that Dean's face wasn't sad or depressed. It was angry, "How could you do that?"

"Did Cass tell you what Pestilence told us?" Sam yelled.

"Of course he did, but we already knew that! Death told us!"

"What did Death tell you," Sam asked.  Dean sighed and began to tell his side of the story.
