It was one day in science and Mr Demeclus had told the class to pick a Lab partner that they were going to work with for 2 weeks because they were doing a project which made up of 50% of their grade.
Friday scanned across the room as students scrambled to change seats and partner up. There were lots of giggling, high-fiving and hugging around the room as they found their partners and sat down.
And of course Addison was the first to jump up after hearing the news and announced to the whole class that her partner was Ian. All eyes trailed at her as she strode up to Ian, on the way giving a wink at Friday and sat down.
Friday's breath quickened. She was too busy looking at Addison and Ian she forgot she had to pick a partner.
"Need a partner?"
Friday looked up from her seat and there stood Mel in front of her, her plaits neatly fell below her shoulders. She nodded in response.
"To begin your project with your partner, first light a match and place it onto a bunch of hay, after that spray with water chloride and test if the fire will die down. Before any of that write hypothesis, aim, equipment, methods and conclusion," Mr Demeclus said in a monotone as he wrote the instructions on the board with one hand whilst sipping his daily coffee in another.
"Isn't this quite dangerous. Students aren't allowed to take part in anything that involves fire," Friday spoke up raising her hand along the way. She heard people snicker and whisper amongst each other.
Mr Demeclus gave her a warning look as he replied in the same monotone voice, "Are you questioning my teaching?"
This time Friday kept quite.
As the experiment proceeded, Friday occasionally took glaces at Ian and Addison's direction. All they did was talk and flirt and pretend they know what they are doing. She couldn't believe her boyfriend was flirting with her enemy.
Friday dug her nails deep inside her skin as she felt a drop of salty tear fall down her eyes and into the bottom of her lip. Addison is nothing compared to her. She is pretty, a model, famous, has more money than her, slim and popular while Friday is the contrast of her.
"For sure he will like her," Friday chuckled quietly. "But I guess... Ian did change a lot after Italy."
"What was that Friday?" Mel stopped writing and faced Friday who's eyes were gleamed with tears.
"Nothing."
"You know Friday, I have been noticing. Your heart is breaking from watching Ian and Addy flirt while you stand here helplessly. But I think Addison is up to something because it is starting to become fishy." Mel says as she continued writing on the paper Mr Demeclus gave them.
Friday couldn't help but to grin a little. At least Mel is starting to think Addison is not a trustworthy person.
"Here, let me finish off the work while you start the experiment," Friday tells Mel as she reached for her pencil.
"It's fine... I'll sleep while -" Mel didn't get to finish her sentence as she was cut of by a loud piercing bang coming from their table. Friday and Mel was sent back from their chairs. Then Friday laying down on the ground saw it in the side of her eye was a mini bomb planted under each of their tables. Patel's desk then every of her classmates desk was crumpled in pieces except for Addison's and Ian's.
When Ian realised what happened, he tried to reach and help Friday but all the fragmented tables blocked his path.
Friday slowly stood in agony amid in chaos, her fist clenched as her nails dug deeply inside the palm of her hands. Screams left from a few people's mouths so loud it could penetrate people's soul as Mel's eyes went wide with horror as the blood drained from her face.
Friday's pulse quickened, her heart pounding like a roaring lion. She had not come prepared with this kind of situation. No bombs has ever been inside a classroom. She suddenly felt very weak as her eyes started to go blury.
No! I can't faint yet. I have to do something. Like I always did. Friday thought.
"Call the ambulance! Quick!" She could hear in the distance past the screaming of her classmates was Mr Demeclus' louder scream.
"No. Call at least five! Never in my 20 years of teaching seen a attack like this! People fainting, screams so loud you could hear from space! Hurry!" His voice roared in the congested room.
But Friday couldn't hold it any longer. Her mind was swirling, each of her breaths were shallow until she could see nothing but darkness.

Hey angels! I'm back with another update. I'll try to update more often but please continue to VOTE AND COMMENT as I love to read all your comments. This chapter is mainly about seeing a different view on Friday as you see a vulnerable side of her. From her not live up to her standards when the bomb came off as she normally helps and finds a solution to solve this problem, this time she couldn't do anything about it because she feels weak, sad and lonely inside from Addison and Ian's 'relationship' which makes a big influence and impact on her life. It just shows that Friday is a normal person that has feelings... but is just way smarter than normal people. Most times she feels happy but occasionally, sometimes... like now with everything going on around the world, we all feel sad and somethings lonely as we crave for someone special. Lol. Chile!
Anywayssss... angels
