Natsu's P.O.V.

I woke up begrudgingly as a stray of morning light peeked through the lapse in my window curtains. With an annoyed groan, I lazily sat up from my comfortable position on my hammock. I glanced at my surroundings,my eyes still adjusting. Sun rays were lighting up the room and the first thing I noticed was the maid outfit of Lucy during our first job as partners. I smiled as a feeling of nostalgia wash over me. My vision traveled then to all the jobs we went and the times where we fought together.

A light snore came from my left and I let my eyes settle on no other than my furry friend who stays with me despite my behavior.

I reached out with my left hand and petted his furry blue head. "Wake up Happy." I sad gently and he stirred in his sleep. "Fish~" Happy muttered while drooling. A small,rich chuckle rose from my throat and nudge him a little more.

"Wake up Happy." I said a little louder this time."I will give you fish."

With the mention of fish.. He bolted straight up-alive,alert and enthusiastic. I sweatdropped and backed away a bit.

"Aye Natsuu!" Give me fish!" He said while spreading his wings and flew circles above me with a dreamy expression.

I grinned my usual toothy grin and got up from my hammock. Stretching my stiff muscles in the process.

"Ah! Let's eat! We still need to say goodbye to the guild later."

Changing to my white pants,sandals and the closed vest with one arm exposing my guild mark and the other covered. And ofcourse, the scarf Igneel gave me. I went out ofn our cabin and unto the guild.

It was still early-the hummingbirds and sparrows tweeting in the now waking forest,little critters comming out of their homes to find food and the early morning sunshine brightening the world with its heat and never-ending light.

The sun somehow reminded me of the sole person I yearn to be with every moment of everyday. She brightens my day with her smile and laughter. Her deep brown eyes that can lull anyone to pure bliss and adoration. Her long,silky golden hair flowing with every movement and gentle breezes of the wind. Her sweet voice that I can't help but listen to. I find her sheer determination astonishing and can govern any hurdle she encounters.

She is everything.

I don't want to lose her. I want her mine and mine only. I-I.. need her to be with me.

A soft early breeze blew past me and leaves rustle at its wake and a sudden realization hit me.

God! How could I be so stupid! She has been there for me from the very beginning and I only noticed now! I am a big stupid idiot!

I love her! No, I don't love her..

I am in love with her!

"Natsuu?" I was dragged oyt of my reverie when I heared Happy spoke beside me. "Hmm?" I gave him a confused look.
