Natsu's P.O.V.

I stared at the sunset by the lake where Happy and I used to fish. That little blue exceed told me he was going to visit Wendy and Charle for a while and left me here with my troubled emotions.

I miss her.

She has been gone for the whole day and I had been silent that the guild thought I was being possessed. Ice freak even challenged me ten times but I just waved him off and told him I was not in the mood. Then,my conversation with Gramps added to my frustration. I looked up at the now reddish-orange sky and thought about her-again.

"What would your reaction be when you come home with me not there to welcome you,Luce?"He muttered sadly.

Gramps sat on the chair behind his desk while I sat on the one in front of him.There was a heavy silence lingering onside the room and I decided to break it.

"What is it Gramps?"

His head looked up to gaze staright into my eyes. His eyes held wisdom,compassion for the guild and hope. But,what I see now is his troubled and conflicted emotions.

"I have a mission for you." He said lowly.

At the mention of mission,my spirits instantly lifted but as soon as it came,it quickly disappeared.
I remembered Lucy. What if she got hurt in the job she went and I am there to comfort her?

Master saw my troubled expression and asked me in a serious yet can ing manner what was wrong.
"Lucy...."I paused and added Lissana "...and Lissana are out on a job,so would this be a solo mission?" I changed my statement before I say some thing weird like,'What if Lucy's hurt and I'm not there?' or 'Would Lucy be ok without me in the guild?'

"Yes and you might be gone for a week or two or it depends on how fast you can finish it. You may bring Happy with you if you want?" A week or two?!

"When should I take my leave then?" I asked and tried my best to cover my anxiety with my usual grin.

"You could leave tomorrow. In that way you can have time to pack and relax for your journey."Gramps smiled at me,the lines on his face wrinkling as he did so.

"Ah. May I know wat the job is,master?" That was a first. By the look on his face,he was also shocked that I asked him politely which is ver unlikely of me.

"Y-you have to get rid of a whole pack of demons in the the outskirts of Fiore. I can't let you take anyone else since they would also be busy with jobs and other missions. Abd,the magic council specifically requested for you."

The council requested for me? Will thos day give me more surprises?
Well,maybe I spoke too soon sice Master said something just as shocking.

"There would be no reward for this Natsu. This is all for the people that are suffering fron the attacks." He lit a cigarette and blew a puff of smoke-looking like this was just a simple matter.
