ON WITH THE CHAPTER!!!

======================================================

Lissana's P.O.V.

A week had passed since we went on that godforsaken mission and about two days since we transferred Lucy in the guild's old secret house in a secluded  part of the forest. Everybody was terribly worried. Nobody laughed or do the normal things Fairytail used to do. Master had been endlessly gathering information about Lovino and so was Levy and Freed. Most of us were trying our best to help our nakama.

As for me, Master assigned me to take care of Lucy along with Mira-nee, Wendy, Erza, Juvia and Levy when she was not busy.

I sat on the stool near Lucy's bed. Lacrimas were all around her. She looked paler and she didn't show any signs of waking up anytime soon. Sometimes she would cry and talk in her sleep and her face still seemed to be scrunched up in pain despite her being asleep.

The guild's spare house was comfortable and spacious. It was a two-storey cottage with a huge living room;complete with two long sofas that were facing each other, two love seats on either side of the sofa and a small coffee table. There was a long corridor leading to the front porch and a glass sliding door in the living room that leads to the garden, a dining room that was connected with the living room through  wooden sliding doors. The walls were painted cream while the pillars were dark brown and the house itself was a mixture of wood and cement. The floor was made of mahogany and so was the stairs leading up to the second floor. The second floor had two bedrooms. One was occupied by Lucy and those who wanted to stay the night can stay on the other room.

The bedroom was wide enough to fit at least seven people. We removed the other unnecessary furnitures and retained the bed and a sofa that was pushed back against the wall. The color scheme of the room is similar with the one downstairs and a window on the right side of the bed.

Sitting here doing absolutely nothing that could help my friend is killing me on the inside. I was useless. I was not able to help her when she needed me.

I didn't notice that a small tear escaped my eye until I felt the salty liquid trail down my cheek. I clutched Lucy's cold hand and held it against my cheek. My tears kept on coming, like a river that was overflowing.

"I-I'm...sor-ry...Lucy..." I heared my voice crack with each tormented sob I do.

Why her?

How could I live with the guilt inside me when I know that I could've done something, anything, that might had helped her?
