The reason the Underrealm and Overrealm blur on the Spring and Fall Equinoxes is because of the equal balance of day and night; the Over and Underrealms balance out as well. (On a side note, the Underrealm is stronger on the Winter Solstice, and the Overrealm on the Summer.)
