rose and ben have been the best of friends since as long as they can remember. when ben becomes king next week, rose will become his royal advisor, which she likes to call his "decision maker". rose and ben are basically as close as they come.
"i truly think it's a great idea, benny." says rose.
"what's a great idea, kiddos?" said king adam, ben's father, who just entered the room with his wife, belle, and rose's parents, hercules and meg.
"i've decided on my first proclamation as king, dad," exclaimed ben, "with the help of rose of course."
"no, no reason to give me any credit. this was all ben's idea." said rose, giving ben the credit he deserved.
"well, parents, i've decided to give 4 kids from the isle of the lost a chance and have them come to auradon." said ben, smiling. king adam spit out the water he had just taken a sip of and queen belle choked on her air.
"no, no i will not allow it!" exclaimed adam.
"but father—,"started ben.
"king adam, i promise i did my research on these kids and they seem like they are just rough around the edges, please just give ben a chance to help them," finished rose.
"who are their parents?" asked rose's father, hercules.
"cruella deville, evil queen, jafar..." and dragging the last name out as far as it could run, ben said in a lower tone, "maleficent."
"no, i will not stand for this!" yelled adam.
"give the kids a chance, adam, maybe they could be right, but if these delinquents cause any trouble here—," belle fought.
"they won't! we'll keep and eye out for them, we promise." said rose.
"then fine, they get one chance, if it's broken, they're back at the isle, faster than you could say it." threatened meg, speaking for all the parents.
"yes ma'am!" said both ben and rose, very stern-like. both sets of parents then left the room. both ben and rose then broke into a victorious fit of laughter.
"we did it! they get to come!" exclaimed rose.
"good fight, RP, very good fight." said ben, proudly. rose's middle name was philoctetes, after her father's life-long companion.
"you know i don't like when you call me that, benny." said rose, rolling her eyes.
"and that's exactly why i do it." said ben smugly. the pair both exited the tailoring room, into the spacious castle, and then towards the beautiful campus park they both have come to love and adore. both were excited beyond belief for the new transfer students to arrive, but they didn't know of the drama, tears, but also happiness the newbies will bring along with them.
