Keeping secrets is not always so good. Sometimes we keep secrets, because we afraid. Other times it's because we want to protect the ones we love.

In this case, it's both.

Spider man, a friendly neighborhood hero, swung between the buildings of Queens. Watching for criminals, ready to stop them. But as he did said activity, guilt swam in his veins. It was the 7th time he had to cancel a study date/movie night with his best friend, (y/n).

"C'mon Peter!" He whisper-shouted to himself. "You've got to look out for criminals." He swung out of the way of a building, almost crashing into it. "Oh my, what is that girl doing to me?!"

On the other side of Queens was a girl, hiding behind a mask of a villain, going by the name of (v/n). She was an assistant or side kick to the one and only, (m/v/n). (V/n) waited upon the roof of the jewelry shop, on the look out for that knuckle head; Spider Man.

'Wonder what Pete's up to..?' (V/n) shook her head. '(Y/n)! Get a hold of yourself! You need to keep a watch out.'

She looked up, admiring the few stars that fought to show themselves among the city lights that unintentionally took the attention.

"C'mon kid." A rough voice came from behind (y/n). "Our business is done here."

"So we finally going home now?" A hint if excitement laced her voice. (Y/n) honestly hated being a criminal. But she had no choice...

"I can't believe that you lied to me this whole bloody time James! Why did you do it?!"

14 year old (y/n) eavesdropped on her parents, hearing her mom yelling. Her parents almost never fought. And if they did, they definitely always used their 'inside voices.'

"Honey listen to-" (y/n) could practically hear the anger in her father's voice, despite trying to sound calm.

"No! Don't 'honey' me! You have been stealing money this whole time?! I can't believe I married a...a villain!"

"Sarah. You raise your voice one more time. I dare you. You know what I can do."

"Oh! So you threatening me now?! I don't want my daughter to gro-" Her mother's sentence was cut of my the sound of a gun being shot.

(Y/n) covered her mouth to muffle a scream and sobs. She got up quietly, ready to run.

"Come out (y/n). I know you there sweetheart." Her father's voice rang. "Or should I come get you?"

The (h/c) haired girl, slowly stood up, facing the murderer of her mother.

"Now. Listen up kid, alright?"

"Yeah."

"You." Her father pointed to her. "Are going to be my apprentice or side kick. Whatever,
I don't care. But, you will work with me.Got that?" His voice was stern.
