•3rd person•Everyone celebrated their victory against 'The Grey Thieves'—as they liked to call themselves— they defeated only ours ago.
Baby Groot danced along to the song that played on Peter's walkman. Gamora told him to be careful. Drax spoke to Mantis while eating some victory food Peter had bought not to long ago. And Rocket, was obviously working on some bomb or gun.
(Y/n) smiled, masking the pain she felt. She hated feeling this way. But she couldn't help it. Peter glanced at her from his seat, getting up and walking toward her.
"You alright darling?" He whispered.
She nodded, turning away. Peter placed a hand under her chin and turned her to face him, capturing her lips in a short kiss. They pulled away when they heard an annoying voice interrupt their moment.
"Hey! You two lovebirds! Get a room! We don't want no gross stuff happening here!" Rocket yelled, trying to piss them off–as usual.
Peter simply rolled his eyes, before turning back to (y/n). "If you need me, I'm right here okay?" He whispered again.
She only nodded. He placed a kiss on her forehead, walking away. (Y/n) got up and went to a window, looking outside. The galaxy was beautiful. She turned away and walked to her bedroom, finally deciding to go to sleep.
•Time.Skip•
They slept in their shared bed. Well at least he did.
(Y/n) twisted and turned, trying to not think of her pain. While Peter slept quietly. She sighed. 'Why now? Why ever?' She questioned in her head.
She gave up and began to sob. She couldn't take it anymore. It hurt. Everything did. Why couldn't she just make it all go away.
Her sobs soon died, only turning into a few sniffs. Peter awoke, wondering why his girl was shuffling around. A few moments later he remembered, and trued to comfort her.
"Hey sweetheart, you alright?"
He asked softly, not wanting to anger her. When no response came, he turned his head calling her one more time. "Babe?"
"I have fallen weak. I admit it. I feel a knot in my stomach and I actually don't want to breathe or move." She said quietly. "I don't know what to say anymore because this isn't right. I had it all under control. I was moving forward and I was okay, for once. Why am I here? Back to square one on this night. I can't help myself but to think through every single thing."
The brave Star-lord listened as (y/n) continued.
"It is so damn draining to live like this, to live as if you about to die any minute, to smile as if you are about to cry any minute. To hold back, as if you about to kill someone any moment. I don't want to say it 'cause I don't want you to see me weak anymore, I've come so far, I have masked it so well but why not tonight?" Her voice cracked. "Hiding my emotions had become a personal trait that I began to admire. I feel foolish to feel this way, but when has Mother Nature ever listened to us females? Never. But I must admit, I truly miss the days when I was young and free from this pain." (Y/n) finished, staring at the ceiling, tears in her eyes.
"Wow. Babe you deep. But Dramatic much?" Peter's laughter rang through the air.
"You, do not and will never understand the pain of a woman Quill."
Peter began to laugh more. "And I'm glad!"
"I wish you did."
"Don't jinx it."
"Then." She stopped for a dramatic pause. "Fetch me ice cream."
Peter sighed, rubbing his face before getting up. "As you wish you highness."
He reached for the door handle when his girlfriend called out again. "Don't forget my heating pad!""Okay! God, you so demanding during this time of the month!"
But obviously, Peter got back at (y/n) every time; obviously when she was mo longer dying because of mother nature.
