Chapter 21

{Willow}

                I wake up the next morning with the sound of rain trying to crash through the window. I sit up and adjust my eyes as I glance around to get my bearings. I look down to see that I'm on William's chest and he's still knocked out like a bear during hibernation. I smile and slide some hair out of his face before I get up. I walk over to the window and sit on the windowsill. The rain falls quickly against the window and seems to pour down harder upon my appearance.

             William sits up and groans as he looks at me. "Why did you get up? I was sleeping just fine until then." He mumbles as he pouts and I smile as I make my way back over to him. "We need to meet with the others and decide what we're going to do about my dad. No time to sleep." I tell him as his hand closes around my waist. "There might not be enough time to sleep, but I can think of a few activities that we can do that won't take up so much time." He says as his lips find there way to my neck and I blush as I tilt my head to give him more room.

            He gives me enough room to push me back onto the bed and I fall without any resistance. He climbs on top of me and continues to kiss my neck gently while sucking on spots here and there. "William...we have important things to do today and you aren't helping one bit," I say as I push him off of me slightly. "Tell you what....we can finish this conversation after I come up with a way not to get you killed by my dad. Deal?" I ask as I sit back up. He nods reluctantly and I smile. "Thank you, babe," I reply as I get up and take a shower.

            I come out of the shower in a pair of sweatpants and a tank top that's navy blue in color. "Wow, and here I thought that I looked good in sweat pants," William says as he wolf whistles from behind me. I blush as shove him slightly. "Oh shut up," I reply as I make my way to the kitchen. "Is it still raining?" I ask as William comes down the stairs and watches me braid my wet hair. "Yep. The weather channel says that we're supposed to experience severe thunderstorms for the rest of the week."

             "Wait, wait, wait. You watch the weather channel?" I ask as I laugh and he rolls his eyes and nods his head. "You would too if your girlfriend fell asleep on you and you couldn't reach the remote," William replies begrudgingly and I laugh. "Am I supposed to feel bad about that? You could've fallen asleep too." I reply as I sit on the kitchen counter and he walks over to me to stand in between my legs. "You make a fair point." He says and I smile as I kiss his nose. "Of course I do. Now let's go get something to eat....I'm starving." I reply and he laughs. "You're always hungry." He comments and I nod my head. "You are correct, now let's go get food," I say again and wrap my legs around his waist.

          He picks me up and grabs the car keys as he walks the both of us to the garage. I pull out my phone and call Emily. "Who is it?" Edward says as he picks up. "It's Willow. Where is Emily?" I reply as William looks at me. "Who is that?" William mouths to me and I mouth back "Edward". "She's in the shower. Why?" Edward replies as I get into William's car. "Because I wanted to know if she wanted me to get her breakfast or anything," I answer back as William gets in the car and turns it over. "We haven't had breakfast yet so we'd all like something to eat." He says and I nod my head. "No problem. Wake everyone up and we'll be there in a few minutes." I reply then hang up the phone.

          "Why did you call my brother?" William asks and I shake my head. "He picked up the phone. I called Emily, but Edward answered." I reply and plug my phone into the radio plug. I pick a random playlist and start to sing along to "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" by Set It Off. I start to dance in my seat and keep singing along while William just watches me. When I finish I try to catch my breath as William pulls onto the side of the road and just stares at me. "What? I don't have anything on my face, do I?" I ask and he shakes his head.

       "No. Your voice sounds beautiful." He says and I blush lightly and smile. "Thank you, but I sound just like everyone else," I reply and he shakes his head again. "No, you don't. You sound better than anyone else that I've ever heard." He says matter-of-factly and I just blush deeper. "If you say so," I reply and he smiles triumphantly then keeps driving. "Will you sing something else for me, please?" He asks and I nod my head then start to sing "Lovers in Japan" by Coldplay because my music choices are as diverse as me.

        "Where do you wanna eat?" William asks as we finally get to town after about a forty-five-minute drive. "McDonald's of course," I reply while I practically salivate at the thought of eating from McDonald's. "Okay then. McDonald's it is." He says as he pulls in and parks the car. "Ready to go in, babe?" William asks and I nod my head before I get out of the car.

        We walk in together and I go to sit at a booth before William grabs my hand in his. "What do you want to eat?" He asks as his hand finds one of my braids. "Sausage biscuit and a smoothie. Everyone else might want coffee." I reply and he nods his head as he kisses my cheek and I blush slightly. "Are you alright? You've been acting really strange lately." I comment and he shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders. "Yeah, babe. I'm alright. I just want to make sure that you're okay." He replies and I smile and tap my hip. "I'm going to be okay. I've got my knife with me at all times. No one is going to get close to be able to do anything to me." I reply and he nods his head before he heads to the counter to order his food.

          While I wait, my phone rings. "Hello?" I say as I answer the phone without looking at the caller ID. "Morning Willow. It's Miguel." The voice answers and I smile slightly. "Hey, Miguel. How are you this morning?" I ask him as I relax in my seat for the time being. "It's been alright so far. When are you coming back?" Miguel asks and I watch William talk to the man behind the counter. "In a few minutes, William and I are getting something to eat for everyone," I reply and watch William walk back over to me. "Oh, okay. I'll see you two in a few minutes." He says as William sits down and I kiss William's cheek. "Okay. See you soon." I reply before I hang up the phone.

        "Who was that?" William asks as I put my phone into my pocket. "Miguel. He wanted to know where we were." I reply and William's face turns red with rage. "Calm down William. We're just friends, okay? I don't believe in dating someone after we've broken up." I reply and holds his hand tightly. William kisses the back of my hand and smiles a little. "Sorry. Being angry all the time has some territory with it.... that includes jealousy." He replies and I smile and laugh. "Don't get me started on that subject," I reply and hear the cashier call out our number for our food and William gets it. He gets the food and we get back in the car, then continue our drive to my house.
