"Is, uh, is everything okay? You seem a little off right now."
"What are you doing?"
"Just hanging out with some of the cast at the apartment, why? What's up?"
"I need you to be alone right now."
"You're scaring me."
"I know, baby. I really need you to be alone for me to tell you this though."
"Um, okay. I'm in my room now, so what's going on? Is everyone okay?"
"No not really."
"What?"
"Your brother's in the hospital right now. I didn't want to have to tell you over the phone, but it was the only way to tell you."
"Wha-what the hell happened?"
"He was going to work with a buddy of his and his buddy turned his head for just a second. Just a second. They didn't see the semi until after they looked back, but it was too late. Jason is okay, just a few minor scratches, a concussion, and a broken leg. Isaac on the other hand, he flew through the windshield from the impact. He can't talk, can't move. I'm so sorry to tell you this."
"I just talked to him though. He said he was fine. No, that can't be right. It's gotta be someone else, right?"
"I'm so sorry. I know he'd want his best friend here with him, but only if you can get some time off. We don't want you fired over this."
"I'll talk to the Russo brothers. I'm sure they'll give me some time off, so I guess I'll see you soon."
"Don't cry, girlie. Everything's gonna be alright. I love you."
