jen.
JENNIE WALKED HOME alone. She escaped the chauffeur as she didn't want to see Taeyong's face at the moment, knowing that it would be too much too handle.
The way his eyes screamed nothing other than rage had frightened the her to the bones. And how his eyes softened when he spares a second to reflect on what he was doing; she couldn't get it off her mind.
She supposes she felt glad when she felt his guilt, but at the same time, she wasn't really satisfied with what he showed.
Unaware of her surroundings, she didn't notice anything else until she gawked at the huge gates of the mansion in front of her. Jennie nonchalantly glanced at the guard through the thick bars of the gate.
She watched her fight himself as he seemed to be having troubles on staying awake. And when he noticed the girl shooting glares across the gate, he immediately stood up from his swivel chair and pushed a particular button for the gates to open.
She spares no time and immediately walked in, bowing at the guard who instantly apologized.
The house maids outside greeted her and all she could do was force a smile. She advanced to the mansion's main entrance, pushed the doors open and closed it from her behind. The wide staircase greeting her at the worst time ever. Feeling famished, she paved her way down to the kitchen where the fresh fruits of her cravings are located.
She heard noises in the entertainment room which is just a room away from the kitchen. Jennie went to take a look and as if fate did not want her to breathe, as soon as she stepped inside, a group of guys appeared in front of her, all sat on the couch as they watch an episode of a series which she's also familiar with. The young ones waved hello as Taeyong and his closest friends kept a straight face, Jennie sighed and avoided meeting their eyes.
I shouldn't have checked. Jennie thought.
She bowed to excuse herself from the room. The maiden noticed her hands were holding tight onto the bowl of strawberries and just by the thought of the reason why, she scratched the back of her head out of annoyance, messing her hair and stomped off up stairs. Walking into her room, she puts down the bowl of strawberries and lets her whole self fall onto her newly made bed. It was a long day but she eventually made it through.
Jennie turned to her bowl of strawberries and ate it one by one, without even doing anything else. After eating everything in the bowl, she jumped off of bed, planning to take a shower. But her phone vibrated, receiving a text message from an unknown number.
"Hello, Jennie! It's Park Jimin from earlier. I got your number from Nayeon. I hope you won't get crept out or anything.. I was just wondering if you could come with me for some ramyeon at Han River? I mean it's okay if you decline.. I'll understand."
Jennie felt her cheeks heat up after realizing he had sent it only in one text. Quite straightforward and she praised his small act of bravery. She checks the time and sees it was nearly 7PM, the sun is finally resting and it's the moon's turn to shine. Having second thoughts, she suddenly remembers how kind Jimin was to her earlier. She was convinced that she should accept his offer, but she still wanted to ask why.
"Hello! May I ask why?"
"I just want to be friends.."
