True Love

Aria went home, her spirits seemed to be sailing higher then the moon! "There she is!" someone cried suddenly. Aria turned her head just in time to see Yume wrap her arms around her sister "You're okay!" Hime ran over and joined in the hug.

"We were so worried for you," she said

"I'm sorry, I was only out for a walk and I went over to Shelly and Henry's -"

"Yeah, we were going to head over there," Yume wiped away her tears "Oh don't you ever do that again,"

"I'm sorry," The three girls were in a long hug that never seemed to end.

"So, anyone for breakfast?" Hime asked

Went out, they said. Nozomu had gone out on a drive that morning. What a shame. Aria wanted to apologize in person for dragging him into her romantic fantasies, but it could wait she guessed. In the mean time, she had to tell her sisters and Kanata about Margret Shane.

"Shelly!?!" They all cried

"I know right! It was her the whole time!" Aria exclaimed "Who would have thought?"

"Guess you found a new plot twist for your story," said Kanata

"Uh ... no, Shelly asked me not to tell the story about here. Instead it's just Serene Grace!"

"Good for you," said Yume "We will get to read it though, right?"

"Yes! I'm almost done putting it onto the computer!" Aria said proudly "I'll show it to you once I've printed it out and put it in a folder. But you'll love it!"

"I'm sure we will," said Hime

Later, Aria and Hime were back to back reading books on the living room floor while Yume and Subaru were playing football over at the Yuki House. Everything was back to normal. "Oh yeah, Hime," said Aria "Who does Subaru like anyway?"

"Sure you want to know?" Hime asked

"I can handle it," Aria started thinking of why she wouldn't want to hear it. If it was one of her friends then Hime would worried she'd probably get jealous and angry with them and stop hanging around them. But those feelings had died like plucked flowers.

"Promise not to tell anyone, not even him?" Him asked

"Uh ... sure," Aria replied

Hime giggled "He likes Yume,"

If Aria could do another spit take she would have. "You're joking, right? I always thought he would loath her more then love her. I mean, they're best friends and all, but he keeps getting on her nerve and trying to annoy her and stuff,"

"Oh Aria, you need to read in between the lines when you understand all that stuff means 'I love you'!" Hime said with a sequel "You're not the first one to be heart-broken by the fact. Ako was the same way, then she had to give him up. Oh the poor dear,"

"Ako liked him too? Wow, there's a lot I don't know," said Aria

"Yeah, it started during elementary school, you were too little to notice or maybe even remember. And he still hasn't confronted his feelings. *sigh* People might never learn. But not on my watch! Not on this street! They will learn!"

Aria smiled just as the door burst open and Yume and Subaru came in laughing and shoving each other. "I won that match fair and square!" said Subaru

"You jerk, you cheated for the whole game!" Yume said with a smile, she turned and smiled at her sisters. Aria and Hime smiled back, though Aria felt strange with her being around Subaru after her conversation with Hime.

"How could I have possibly cheated?" Subaru asked

"Calling Kanata to take your place while you break is cheating!" Yume cried

"You're just jealous,"

"Oh please, Hime or Aria could run circles around you two," Yume breathed in then sighed "I need water," Yume walked into the kitchen and Subaru just stood there smiling at her. Aria's eyes widened, it was true.

'The look he gave her was unlike any other!'  she narrated 'A strong longing to hold her hand and be with her til the end of time!'

But Subaru caught Aria looking at him and gave her a weird look. "What?" he asked

"Nothing," she said

Knock! Knock!

Yume answered the door "Nozomu! Hey!" she said

"Is ... Aria home?" he asked, he was out of breath "Did you find her?"

Yume nodded "She's outside in the backyard. She's doing so much better! you can talk to her if you want,"

"I'd love to," Nozomu, clutching a certain round object in his hand, went out to the back. He could see Aria through the glass sliding doors, she was sitting on the grass writing. He opened the doors and walked over to her, stepping over her crutches. "Hey,"

"Nozomu!" she exclaimed "I'm ... I'm sorry!"

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry for dragging you into my stupid romantic fantasies," Aria told him "It all ended in such a mess, I'm sorry for trying to get you involved,"

"Aria, it wasn't stupid," Nozomu sat down next to her "Love just ... well it happens, especially when you least expect it.

"Hmm," Aria shrugged

"Are you feeling better?"

"A lot, thank you," Aria said with a smile "I love sunsets, the sky is a different from blue and is just so lovely with the sun shining on us,"

"Yeah," Nozomu agreed, smiling at her "I found this today, you know, while I was looking for it," Nozomu took Aria's hand and placed the round object in her palm.

"It's a baseball ball," she said "You're not trying to get me into sports too are you?"

"It's your home run ball, remember?" Nozomu asked

"What?" Aria gasped "This can't be the same ball!"

"Sure it is! It has to be,"

"I can't believe you actually went looking for this," said Aria "It's very sweet of you,"

Nozomu smiled, his cheeks turning a light crimson. "Read it," he said

"Read what?" Aria asked

"It's written on the baseball,"

"Oh," Aria inspected the ball for writing. She circled around it then saw the question he had written onto it. 'Will You Date Me? Yes! No.' "Oh," Aria's heart beated so quickly, unlike she ever thought possible.

"It's okay if you say no, after what you went through," Nozomu said, red in the face "I understand,"

Aria smiled and actually felt like crying again, but happy tears. "Yes! Yes! I'll date you!" she said, throwing her arms around him. If Subaru was a knight in shining armor, Nozomu was her prince charming. Aria was glad to have someone like him.
