Chapter 1

Hey guys! I'm Dani and I'm fifteen. I love to sing and play basketball. I'm also in gymnastics but I quit a couple years ago to play basketball and soccer. I'm very active. I can play almost every instrument. my mom died when I was eight. I have two brothers. My little brother, he's ten and his name is Brad and my older brother is nineteen, his name is Liam. Liam is currently in the army and I haven't seen him in three years. anyways, I have blonde hair and bright blue eyes. My body is a gymnast body and yes I have a six pack but it's not very visible.

I woke up to my dad shaking me.I groaned. He said"Dani I'm leaving for work watch your brother please". I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked at my dad sitting on the side of my bed wearing a suit. I said"Good morning daddy". he said"Good morning sweetheart". he stood up and said"I have to get going". I said"have a good day". he walked out. I fell back on my bed and sighed. I grabbed my iPhone 4. I had a text from Haden my best friend.

Haden!: hey I'll be over later with Sydney!

Me: ok great.

I Locked my phone. I stood up and went into my bathroom. I took a shower and slipped on skinny jeans and a cropped top. I left my long hair air dry. my hair comes down almost past my rib cage. anyways I walked out of my bathroom and went downstairs.

Brad was sitting on the sofa playing his dumb video games. I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen. I said"brad have you ate". he said"yeah cereal". I nodded and made me a bowl of cereal. I walked into the living room and sat on the other end of the sofa away from Brad. I said"are you just going to play video games all summer". brad said"yep". I don't get how brad is skinny like I am and doesn't do anything but play video games.

There was a knock on the door. I stood up and ran to the door. I opened the door and there stood my three best friends Haden, Sydney, and Colton. Haden has a twin brother his name is Braden, Braden is one of the popular boys at school who dates the cheerleaders and Haden is the sweet non popular boy who looks just like his brother, they both have brown hair and bright blue eyes like me.

Colton is gay and he has brown hair and brown eyes. Sydney has long brown that's as long as mine, she had brown eyes and she's shorter than I am. I said"hey guys come in!". they all walked in and I walked into the kitchen to put my bowl up. Haden sat next to brad and played games with him. me, Colton, am Sydney sat at the kitchen table.

Colton said"soooo how's your YouTube channel". I said"good I have over three million subscribers". Colton said"OMG gurl you should tots get famous". I looked down at the table. I said"I doubt it". he said"why is that". I said"I've had the channel since I was thirteen and I haven't gotten recognized yet". Sydney said"it takes time for them to recognize people". I said"I guess". Sydney sighed.

We hung out for a while then they had to leave. I plopped down on the chair in the living room. Brad looked at me. he said"when's dad getting home". I sighed. my dad is always working trying to make enough for paying the pills and my car. I mow laws and babysit in the neighbor hood for some money but it doesn't bring in much. I said" I don't know". he looked bummed. I said"whats wrong". he said"I just wanted to hang out with dad because I never get too". he looked at the ground. I said"Brad you know dad would love to hang out with us it's just he's trying to keep up with bills". brad said"yeah I know".

I said"hey do you want something to eat then we could maybe go to the movies I have some babysitting money". brad smiled and nodded. I made some noodles for the both of us. we ate then we left. on the way to the movie brad said"your the best big sister ever!". I smiled. He said"I said that because I know you are trying hard to help dad out and your trying to take care of me and I'm thankful for that". I started tearing up. we pulled into the parking lot of the movies. I said" come here". I hugged him. he whispered"I love you Dani". I said" I love you too Brad". we got out.

We stood at the display and decided what movie we should watch. brad chose the lego movie which I was fine with because we never get to do anything. I got us some popcorn and a drink. we walked into the theatre. I saw my ex boyfriend Troy. I gulped and grabbed Brad's hand. I walked all the way to the back of the theatre.

Why would Troy be at a kid movie. he's a jerk to his little brother and sister. I ignored him and watched the movie with Brad. after the movie it was past ten so when we got home me and brad went to bed because we were tired anyways. I walked up to my room and sat on my bed. I looked at my night stand. there was a picture frame of my mom. I sighed and looked at the ground. I stood up and put on my normal clothes I sleep in which is spandex shorts and my sports bra.

I laid in bed and stared out my window. there was a light knock on my door. I stood up an walked to the door. I opened it to see and crying Brad. I said"brad what's wrong". he said"I had a bad dream, can I sleep with you tonight". I nodded and let him in my room. I put a baggy shirt on so brad wouldn't feel weird sleeping with his sister which is basically half naked. I got back in bed and brad curled up next to me. I smiled and kissed his forehead. I soon fell asleep.
