Chapter 17

~Austin's p.o.v~

I watched dani walked up the stairs. I knew she lied about being tired and wanting to lay down. When we were dating she would never pass up playing zombies even if she was tired she would still play with me. I turned around and glared at the crew. I said"what the hell did you do to Dani". They all looked at me like I was stupid. I said"one of you said something that upset her because she never passes up zombies so which one did it".

Robert looked down and I said"why Robert". he said"I'm just trying to protect her". I said"from what!". I started raising my voice. he said"you!". I looked down and said"why me". he said"we all know about Maddie and you don't need to hide her from Dani because you are going to hurt her again and I'm not letting that happen because she fucking ignored us for almost a year Austin". I looked down. damn I forgot about Maddie. I said"I'll end it with Maddie". Robert shrugged his shoulders. I said" shes going to hate me". Alex said" why". I said"because of me hiding Maddie and I kind of made out with her earlier and we almost did some dirty things". I looked at the ground. Robert said"wow you were leading her on this whole time".

I looked down and said"I didn't mean too". I looked up and continued"you know I haven't been telling you guys the truth here lately and I'm going to tell you the truth right now". they all nodded. I said"I don't like Maddie that much and management is making me date her so everyone thinks I'm done with dani but the truth is I love Dani and I always have". Alex said"man you have to choose". I said"I want Dani but management isn't going to let me date her". I looked down and pulled my beanie off in frustration. I ran my fingers through my hair. "so you do have a girlfriend" I heard Someone say. I looked at the stair case to see a red tear stained faced dani. I sighed and said"so I'm guessing you heard the conversation". she walked right up to us. she looked me in the eyes and said"you lied to me". her lip started to quiver. I hate when that happens because that means she's about to cry even harder.

I said"Dani management is making me date Maddie". she said"well you should stick up for yourself and you fucking told me she was your cousin.......you make me sick". she slapped me in the face and ran up the stairs balling. I looked down. my cheek is stinging so bad. I bit my lip so I wouldn't cry. Alex said"are you alright man". he walked over and rubbed my back. I said"yeah I'm fine, I'll see you guys tomorrow". I went upstairs and I knocked on Dani's door. It opened and my mom was standing there. I could see dani behind her laying down crying. I wanted to just run in there and hold her in my arms and tell her it's alright. I said"mom can I please talk to Dani for a minute". she nodded and stepped out. I slowly walked in and quietly shut the door. I stood there for a few seconds then dani looked over at me. she said"go away". I said" Dani just please hear me out". she said"I've already listened to your shit and I'm done believing it because most of it is a fucking lie". I said"so you think me loving you is a lie". I could feel the tears stinging in my eyes. I've never cried over a girl the only time I've cried was when my MeMa died.

She said"to be honest I don't know because you treated me like dirt and I felt like I was nothing". I could felt the tears ready to spill. I said"Dani I love you so much that it hurts". there was a really long pause between us. I sighed and said"I'll leave you alone". I could barely see because the tears are blurring my vision. I slowly walked out and down the hall to my room. "AUSTIN" I heard a girl say behind me. I turned to see a red faced Maddie.

I sighed and put a fake smile on my face for her. I walked up to her and said"hey". she slapped me in the face in the exact spot dani got me. I clenched my jaw and said"what the hell Maddie!". she said"I KNOW WHAT YOU DID AND WE ARE DONE! D-O-N-E! DONE!!". I said"ok". she said"your not mad or upset". I shook my head no and said"to tell you the truth management made me date you so I didn't really even like you". she gasped and stomped down the stairs. she slammed the front door. I sighed and sat down on the stairs. I started thinking about what happened with dani just a few minutes ago. I rubbed my stinging cheek and tears started filling in my eyes. I put my beanie over my face and let the tears fall.

Someone sat next to me and started rubbing my back. I lifted my beanie and wiped my eyes. I looked over to see my mom siting there. she said"are you ok". I shook my head no. she said"why not". I said"because I lost the best thing that was in my life and it hurts". she said"and who is that? Maddie or Dani". I said"Dani....I'm in love with her and she doesn't believe me and I just wish she would give me a chance to show her how much I love her". My mom smiled and said"well hun things happen for a reason". she stood up and said"I'm going to go clean up the kitchen then go to bed". I nodded and she kissed my forehead. she looked at me and said"you need sleep". I nodded. she said"love you". she started walking down the stairs. I said" love you too goodnight mom".

She went into the kitchen. I sighed and tears kept pouring. I stood up and turned to go back up the stairs when I saw dani standing there. I looked down and wiped the tears away from my eyes. I said"is everything alright". I walked up the stairs. dani walked up to me and I looked into her beautiful blue eyes. I could see the pain in her eyes and it broke my heart. I felt tears stream down my face. she cupped my face with her small hands and wiped the tears away with her thumb.

She whispered"I'm not worth your tears". I said"yes you are". She gave me a weak smile. she wrapped her arms around my neck and played with the hair on the back of my head. she knows that drives me crazy. she said"I heard Maddie yell at you earlier". I said"yeah she broke up with me". she said"oh that's a bummer". I said"not really I'm actually glad she's gone". she laughed. I said"we need to go to sleep we have to record tomorrow". I kissed her forehead and said"goodnight Dani". she said"goodnight Austin". she walked off to her room and I went to mine. I got in there and I stripped down to just my boxers. I laid down and I soon fell asleep.
