Chapter 18

~Dani's p.o.v~

I woke up around 2:30 a.m because it started storming. why do storms have to happen right now. I hate storms, they scare me. I curled up in my blankets trying to go back to sleep but I couldn't. should I go sleep with Austin. he would probably get mad. I just laid there in the dark scared out of my mind. hell with it I'm going to go to Austin's room. I got up wearing only my sports bra and spandex shorts. I quietly walked down the hall and knocked on his door. I knocked a couple times but he didn't answer so I started walking back to my room then I heard the door creak open.

I looked back to a sleepy Austin. he only had one eye open. he said"are you ok Dani". I said"yeah I- uhhh- the storms are scaring me". I looked down and started rubbing my arm. he said"do you want to sleep with me or you could have my bed and I'll sleep on the floor". I nodded and he smiled. I slowly walked into his room and got on his bed. He put a pillow on the floor. I said"what are you doing". he said"sleeping on the floor". I said"no lay with me, please".

I looked up at him and he smiled. he nodded and I crawled across his bed. I laid closest to the wall and Austin laid down next to me. he pulled his big red fluffy comforter over us and he kept his distance from me. A big crack of lightening went off with a big rumble and I pulled myself closer to Austin. he chuckled and I laid there trembling. another crack of lightening came and I buried my face into Austin's chest. he slowly put his arm around me and rubbed my back.

I closed my eyes and I felt Austin softly kiss my forehead. I smiled and soon fell asleep in Austin's arms. my life actually felt complete and I felt safe in his arms. I missed his warmth. I woke up still wrapped in Austin's arms. I smiled and I tried to move but Austin's grip on me was to tight. I sighed and just laid there. Austin groaned and started to move. he let go of my waist and rubbed his eyes. I looked up and Austin looked down at me. he smiled and I smiled weakly at him.

He said"I've missed this so much". I said"me too". he said"tonight can I take you to dinner". I smiled and said"sure". I sat up and stretched my arms. Austin said"your turning me on". I looked at him with an eyebrow raised. I said"how all I did was stretch". he said"your wearing a bra and spandex and it looks so sexy on you". I wanted to mess with him so I straddled his waist. I saw him gulp and I smirked.

I said"what's wrong Austin". he said"n- nothing". I got close to his ear and said"are you sure". I grazed my teeth on his ear and I could hear Austin's breathing get heavier. he said"d- dani". I kissed his neck and said"yes Austin". he said"please don't". I sat up and looked him in the eyes. I said" don't what". he said"I don't want to do those things yet because I'm going to treat you right this time even though I really want you right now I'm just going to have to deal with it".

I looked down and said"what about Maddie and your management". he said"I- I don't know". I started tracing circles on Austin's chest. I said"have you talked to Colton or Sydney here lately". he said"the last time they talked to me was when we broke up and they chewed me out". I looked down and said"I haven't talked to them since then either". Austin said"I know my mom told me because your dad called her". I nodded. Austin pulled me down to his level and he looked me in the eyes.

He said"I am so sorry for treating you like I did and I-". I interrupted him by kissing him. I pulled away and said"its ok, I'm over it". he smiled and there was a knock on his door. "Austin breakfast is done come down and eat" I heard his mom say through the door. he said"ok mom". I got off of him and he stood up. he slipped on sweats and he grabbed a shirt and slipped it on. he said" how's Romo". I said"he's good". he nodded and he said"you should go get some clothes on". I nodded and got up. I walked out and into my room that's across the hall from Austin's. I slipped on sweats over my spandex shorts and I put a tank top on. I put my hair in a ponytail and went downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and everyone was sitting at the table.
