Kami's breathing was staggered, however, it was still enough to keep her alive.

Yagi stood over her, trying his best not to cry, even though he still did.

He hated seeing Kami this way, after all, he thought she was the strongest water magic bearer in the school.

She is the strongest, right? He asked himself.

Right?

She laid there, looking like she was burning up with some sort of fever, Yagi was really starting to get worried.

Then the doctors walked in and told Yagi to leave.

"But can't I stay, please? She's my friend!" He asked.

"Sorry kid, but no, you can't."

Yagi let out a sigh, walked out of the room, and went home.

Though the hospital was not far from his house, it still seemed like a really long walk home.

But it seemed to drag on forever once Kokoro walked up to him.

He pretended to not notice her, it didn't really work. She knew he had already seen her.

"What do you want?" He snapped.

"I'm sure you already have been told what happened... B-but listen to my plea."

He looked at her, she was about ready to cry.

"Alright, go ahead."

She took a few seconds to think about how she wanted her words to come out, then she started with:

"W-well... Haruto-kun... He... Was really mad at Kami... A-and... He forced me to attack her, as payback... B-because he knew I had really strong magic... Normally I'd say no... But he had a knife to my throat! He was right there in the house when I attacked, and so he used some of his 'magic' to try and scare her by making me say things I didn't even want to say!"

By the time she finished, she had cried so much she could barely even cry.

"I-I-I know you probably don't believe me Yagiyama-Kun... I know you probably don't even want to talk to me right now... So I'll get going..."

Yagi would grab her arm

"I believe you..."

Her eyes would widen

He'd let out a nervous laugh, "Yea, believe it or not... I believe you... Haruto-kun would do something like that."

Kokoro's eyes started to lighten, she smiled then said: "Y-you really believe me?"

He'd nod, trying to give her a smile.

She'd then start to speak again, "H-hey... Yagiyama-Kun-"

"You can just call me Yagiyama, or Yagi if you want..."

She'd look very surprised

"O-oh... Okay... Well, Yagi... Kami told me that she wanted to set you and me up for a date..."

Both of them started to blush

"D-Did she say anything about that to you?"

He nodded "Y-yea... She did..."

Her eyes would brighten "W-wait, R-really?!"

He'd nod, "H-Hey... Kokoro..?"

She'd look at him "Yea?"

"Are we still on for that... Date?"

Kokoro's eyes would brighten but she'd also be blushing.

She'd quickly respond with "Y-yes! I would love to! What day and time?"
