Yagi didn't really like having to call people insulting names like that. But he seemed to feel nothing when it came to Haruto.
Strange... I hate calling anyone a rude name, especially something like that, but not with him. Fine by me.
Yagi walked to class, to see that Kami wasn't there.
He let out a sigh of relief, he didn't want things to be awkward between the two of them.
He just wanted to forget that Asuka had said anything about Yagi being a "traitor".
It had ripped him right in half. Even to him, that statement felt almost literal.
The bell had rung, which meant class had started, and yet, still no Kami.
It worried Yagi a little, but at the same time, he was trying not to care.
Afterall, I am just a 'traitor'...
The teacher came in, took attendance like normal, then indirectly told everyone to 'Shut Up'.
-=-=-=-=- 3rd period -=-=-=-=-
About 20 minutes before the third period had ended, Kami walked in a Tardy slip in hand.
She gave her slip to Mrs Auctores, then sat down next to Yagi.
He would awkwardly wave 'hello' as to not disturb the class.
She would give him a simple wave back. Then look back at the teacher who would be lecturing the class as usual. 'Oh do this better'. 'Work harder on this'
Throughout the entire class, Yagi was tense, seeing as he was sitting right next to the person who called him 'traitor'.
Kami could feel the tension in Yagi, so every few minutes she would shift her body.
Yagi didn't quite understand why Kami had kept shifting, but Kami was only doing it as a distraction to slowly inch herself away from Yagi, she could tell he wasn't having a good day.
She knew Yagi, whenever he was having a bad day or was angry, he would take it out on the first person to talk to him. Friend, Brother, Sister, Girlfriend, it didn't matter.
-=-=-=-=- Lunch -=-=-=-=-
Yagi normally sat with either Kami and a few of her friends who also thought Yagi was cute. Or he sat at a table of 3 people who were referred to as "the rejects". Mostly the people who were super nerds, or monster species like Yagi.
He didn't want to sit with Kami today. At the same time though, Kami hadn't really wanted to bother him today. So she'd try her best to just leave him alone during lunch.
But for some reason, fate kept pushing the two together, making for very awkward situations. The snack line, the line for signing out of the cafeteria, etc.
-=-=-=-=- End Of The Day -=-=-=-=-
Kami knew it was a bad idea, but she decided to do it anyway.
"Hey... Yagi?... Can I ask you something?.." She asked.
"What?" He'd say, sounding almost angry.
"Well... Can I ask what's making you so mad today? You're even more angry than usual..."
"Oh, you don't know? Because you of all people should know."
"Yagi! Please just tell me what's going on! I don't really know! Honestly!"
"Ugh, Fine, sit."
She would obediently sit down on a bench.
"Don't you remember saying this?" He'd say angrily, then play the audio of Kami.
