Lighting my cigarette I looked around nervously feeling none of the edge taken off. More of a coughing fit perhaps. Wheezing. I wrinkled my nose and rubbed the cigarette out with my shoe.
The kids was playing inside, the adults all was having breakfast, all trying to stay calm.My plan was coming fast and hard down on me, it was all set in stone and Quil was the back up plan. Its tonight, the night of the Hale fire, the night I have to save everyone.
This is the night that gets me back on track to saving my silver hunter from the fate she gets. November 16th 2007, at 7:15pm the Hale fire was started and burned nine family members alive.
Michael Hale
Emma Hale
Talia Hale
Peter Hale
Kylie Hale
Josh Hale
Toffer Hale
Madeline Hale/Carver
Steph CarverAlongside Cora, who was the only one of the few who escaped unharmed, Peter as well even though he burned.
Wincing I looked up, watching as they all laughed and smiled. Acted just like normal. Like their death wasn't creeping over their shoulders. As if the angel of death wasn't holding their other hand, watching as they led the angel wherever they went.
On the outskirts of this stupid town, so close to the reservation was a house.
The address was 1923 Boulder Street, Beacon Hills, California, 90221. The police would claim the accident as a electrical malfunction. Barely even a thought of arson, just a small suspicion that the overly well taken care of house that the Hales had could have been burned down purposely. Hunters in the police station helped keep the down low.Crushing the cigarette more, I walked back inside. Closing the door, the recorder was still recording their loud laughter and talking. I gave a nod, closing my finger around it and shutting it off.
"This will work." I reassured feeling the tension now in everyone.
"You sure?" Emma questioned tugging on my pant leg. I grinned picking her up. "Obviously, I would never let anything happen to you. Or let anything happen to any of you guys. You guys are pack."Quil gave a smirk at my words, shoving bacon into her mouth.
She was such a mystery, but I knew after this she was still going to be following me around.Talia smiled, her eyes glistening with tears. Deaton was there, making sure mountain ash was placed exactly where I needed it. Making it seem like a harmless morning breakfast to anyone watching. There was the tv, the curtains, shadows and a recorder checked off my to do list. Now mountain ash set to place, now the back plan and plan B.
Sitting them all down I explained the escape route. How Kate, Reddick and Unger would be coming from the front entrance as cocky as ever, as I would take out the goon who goes to take out the back of the house for my escape plan. I would be inside, keeping the scene alive, as the pack would have escaped precisely thirty minutes earlier. Around the time Kate would be headed with her goons. They would be miles into the city from the back, walking by foot to the city. As I trap Kate with mountain ash catching them red handed, calling the police. This was the scrap out of all the plans I have made. This was the end.
Deaton had shortly left the house, with a container of coffee cake in his arms and a smile on his face. He believed in this as much as I hoped to.
The kids gathered together, opening their room windows shoving pillows under their beds to seem asleep. The adults put on the tv loudly, as I shut the windows the living room curtains casting our shadows in the chairs.
Locking the doors, I placed the recorder down plugging it into a speaker on the dining room table. Hours passed by, and it was nearly a hour before showtime. My phone was fully charged, my bat ready by the dining table. I unlocked the back door, checking my watch again, Kate would be at the bar talking to Harris once again to go over her plans.
They was all fine, they could escape the fire.
I've spoke to Chris, to Gerard, to Peter, to, for Christ sake I have even spoke to Kate about how this all happened. Every detail possible to fix this.
This was going to work."Okay I'm gonna unlock the door, keep your senses up, go out the back quietly. I'm going out the front to get the mail and cause a distraction for anyone who would be possibly watching."
"I don't sense anyone." Derek argued.
"Doesn't mean they are not there. Trust me. Now, go." I opened the door quietly as I walked towards the front.
Slipping out the front I slowly walked towards the mailbox, grabbing the mail. Thumbing through it, I opened one or two reading them. Sighing briefly, I threw one onto the ground. "Bills." I muttered loud enough for anyone to hear. I slowly edged back to the door, opening it and slipping back in to see the back door shut and no sign of the Hales. Locking it back and also that door I glanced at the clock,
6:45pm
Its early.
Grabbing the mountain ash I had in a jar I let it brush through my hands. Breathing in I felt the energy pur practically.
The back of my neck stood up, feeling the energy of the mountain ash in my bones.
I let out a soft moan as the feeling intensified making my body almost kneel in the feeling. It felt as if I was no longer in control of my body, but at the same time felt as if I could control it all.My fingers had slipped onto the recorder, the tv almost blaring out our voices.
I began to move around, the mountain ash following me as I waited to feel the presence of the hunters.
6:55
Closing my eyes I tried to remember any lessons I had with Deaton, any books I read. But after all, this is all up to me.
I reached out towards the earth begging to feel something; vibrations, foot steps, car door.
There was a car somewhere parked up the road. Kate and her goons was walking up towards the house, loaded with guns, gasoline and matches.
6:58
They was here.
