The splashing of gasoline, the smell of the toxic fumes was all over the house. I opened my eyes sensing Kate covering the front door with cement blocks.

There was a man headed towards the back door. Loud stomps from his combat boots alerted me he was getting real close to the door. They smelt of wolfsbane, which makes sense as to why the pack couldn't sense them.

I lifted my hand, the mountain ash outside slipping around the man, covering his mouth. My eyes shot open as I opened the door slowly, looking at the man dead in the eyes.
I grabbed his face, feeling his rapid heartbeat as I let the mountain ash trail into his mouth. His eyes was wild as he grabbed his neck trying to breathe.

"You'll regret this." I replied softly as his screams was muffled as I yanked the mountain ash out, throwing him down onto the ground knocking him unconscious.

I closed the door back, swinging my bat around my back as I crouched onto the ground. I was practically begging for Kate to get cocky so I can strike at her.

The hit of a gasoline can on rocks and grass made me smirk. Typical Kate, always screwing up her plans.

7:05pm

Lifting myself up off the ground, I grabbed my phone, dialing 911.

"Hello? Yes? I think someone is at the Hale house residence trying to break in or something." I whispered acting terrified.

"Sir? Stay calm. Give me the address. Where are you?"

"1923 Boulder Street 90221.
I'm inside the house. I found a guy outside the back door and I knocked him out with a baseball bat but there are others. And I smell gasoline.
Oh God they are trying to break in I-" And with that being said I hanged up, slipping the phone in my pocket as the clock hit
7:10pm.

Walking out the back door, I walked to the front, rising the mountain ash where they was.

I heard shouts and mumbles of confusion as I walked into the clearing. "Kate Argent. Fancy seeing you here." I said grinning.

Kate looked up, her face stone cold pissed off.

"You son of a-"

"Ah, ah, ah. Language." I shook my finger at her pointing at the matches and lighters that was beside their duffle bag, outside the circle.

"You deserve a time out."

I looked at her dead in the eyes. "You deserve a lot of time outs."

She went to throw a knife at me, I barely moved as it stuck to my thigh.

I gave out a low laugh wincing. She grinned thinking she did such a mighty job.

"This now allows me to defend myself." I replied lowly my eyes feeling like fire.

Kate looked terrified as I called out to the nemeton, her trying to pull out her pistol. Her goons just watched terrified and scooted as far away as possible.

"Let her pay for her sins."

Vines shot out of the ground crawling all over her, fastening her to the ground.

I looked her dead in the eyes as well as the vine thorns dug into her. "You attempt to hurt a pack. You get bit by the wolf."

I knew doing this wouldn't stop the code, it would help them see the fault in it though. It would prevent many deaths, it would also piss Gerard off but what else is new for me?

The treaty would still be there.

I let the vines slide back into the earth, my vision slightly blurring. Sirens was heard in the distance getting closer.
