Sapphire's POV:
I'd just got off the bus- since my car was getting fixed- and put my key into the door jiggling it around until it finally fit. I heard the click of the door, signaling that the key had worked. Twisting the nob, I yanked out my headphones from my ears as I opened the door to hear my mother's and some other voices spreading throughout the house. Figuring my mom was just talking to the tv again I walked towards where she was.
"Mom guess what!" I yelled throughout the hallway leading into the living room with enthusiasm. Although I should have waited for her to respond I didn't and just went ahead and continued on.
"I slapped a guy on the ass today!" Coming into view of the living room- swinging off the backpack and throwing it against the wall feeling the weight lifted off my shoulders - I began shaking my arms and rolling my neck to loosen up.
"Oh really who was it Pooh?" My mom asked turning to look at me with a warm smile.
"It was some rando I'm not necessarily sure what his name was...?" I told her placing a hand on my hip while jutting it out.
That was when I actually took the time to realize that there was another person sitting in our living room.
"Hey mom? Who is she?" tilting my head slightly looking her up and down.
"This is my best friend, Akiko she just came back from Florida after choosing a job over me. HER BEST FRIEND for 12 whole years!" Mom announced pulling her friend closer to her in a hug squishing their faces together.
"Hello gorgeous! You look so grown up now and much healthier than the last time I saw you!" Akiko said as she pulled away from the bear hug -more like choke hold-my mom put her in.
"I can't believe its been so long!" She exclaimed basically running up to me giving the same bear hug -choke hold- my mom just had her in while dragging out the 'o' in long.
'What does she by that?' I thought to myself as her warm arms sent a chill up my spine.
"Oh my goodness! How are you freezing!?" Akiko told me while hugging me tighter trying to warm me up I presume.
"I have no idea honestly" I told her chuckling slightly giving her a squeeze back.
"I'm constantly cold even when it's burning outside for some reason." I said feeling her hair tickle my nose.
I heard more footsteps coming towards the living room as my nose began twitching more. My hands that were once on Akiko's back flew to my nose trying to get the sneeze to subside. But that only made it worst as her hair smelled of flowers, causing my allergies to activate without my permission. The footsteps were heavily pounding against the floor.
'Damn this person got some big ass feet'
'Bro could you shut the hell up this is a serious situation right now'
'Ignore me then you psychotic bitch'
'Okay look you didn't have to drag me like that.'
'Oop wig snatched but sis you bout to sneeze now so Imma leave you to that peaceeee!'
"IF SPEW!" was all I could make out as I sneezed from the overwhelming smell, tickling, and my dumbass brain arguing with me.
"ACHOO!" I sneezed so hard I almost knocked my head on Akiko's shoulder.
"Bless you."
As I opened my eyes rubbing my nose I see Akiko standing in front of me holding a box of tissues.
